...that is so untrue it isn't funny. Melo is not a franchise guy, he is a black hole on offense and is selfish with the ball. Bynum would slide right into the Howard role here and would not miss a beat.
This team is build for a big man in the middle and Bynum would fill that need. If we were built differently then maybe Melo would be a possibility, but not how this team is currently constructed.
Bynum plays with one of the best SG/ high volume shooter in the league, and is in no way as dominant as Dwight. So if you're satisfied with being a 7 or 8 seed, sure, Bynum's your man. Don't get me wrong, he's a damn good center, but the idea of adopting him as our franchise player is hilarious, he won't sell tickets, and surrounding him with unathletic shooters will make for some of the least entertaining basketball in league.
I "roll the dice" on Melo, and hope he gets his mind right, and do my best to get chandler in the deal, too...
