With what the Knicks guy said a page or so back it makes sense. Orlando sounds like it may be using the tampering charges against Dwight and NJ. Giving Orlando a MUCH stronger trade piece.

Keeps the stretch 4 who can also create....Not a bad bench imo.

Anthony Carter was released by TOR (presumably to sign with a contender), who's not any worse than Duhon, for the vet's min. Get J-Rich & Duhon's contracts OUTTA HERE!

I thought about Carter last week. He would be a nice minimum addition if Duhon is moved.

I read Carter and immediately this came to mind. Kid you not.

I'd love Mike D'Antoni here, but just as a complimentary offensive assistant to Stan Van Gundy, which would never happen. Imagine D'Antoni running the offensive sets while StM runs the defense ala NFL!!

Context for you is what you read into it above. You don't know anything, just like the rest of us. You assume. You're accusing me of fabricating optimism when you've fabricated an entire scenario based on a few seconds of footage. Context for me is that I have no idea what's going on there. It may be that Dwight looked dejected based on an imminent departure. It may be something entirely different. I haven't acquired the power of mind reading as you apparently have.

Some of the scenarios these guys conjure up... lay off the soap operas, fellers.

Don't bother. People here have decided that they know the outcome. This will just get blasted or ignored.

No worries, I said what I heard and people are welcome to take it or leave it.

Can't see him doing that. Loses too much money.

If he opts in for his final year, how does he loose money? He gets a 19.5 salary for that last year, more than his first year in any new contract.
Gotta love Loyalty! Go Magic!

Ha Ha Ha...No.
We have no one in Orlando who can run the dribble heavy, pick and roll offense. He had Carmelo and Amare and still didn't have a great offense.
Not to get overly nerdy, but if you look at the NBA players with the most turnovers in pick and roll situations (by percentage) the bottom three are Lin, Shumpert, Fields.
The Knicks offense sucks.

Not to bust your chops, but that's like saying there's a chance that it will rain every day in Orlando around 4pm during summer. Hey, I hope he does opts in, I'm all for it but I'm not getting my hopes up.

But ultimately it's no different to jumping to conclusions based on the numerous anonymous "sources" running around. It's just confirmation bias. Source A says Dwight's leaving, and those who think he's going to leave accept it while those who think he will stay disregard it. Source B says he's staying and the opposite happens. If there's a photo where his body language might be interpreted as negative, those people who expect him to leave will automatically read into it, when it could mean absolutely nothing.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLL. Give me a break. This is in a specific context. This isn't a "random" photo. What was arguably the best win of the whole damn season is followed by Dwight not celebrating, not talking to anybody, with his shoulders lowered and head down. The CEO of the organization then gives him a comforting pat. If you can't read into that, and want to fabricate your own optimism under the guise of "confirmation bias", you do that....wow.

LOLLLLLLLLLL right back at you. I'm neither optimistic nor pessimistic. Maybe he leaves, maybe he doesn't, we'll find out tomorrow.

There's an entire field of study of body language, don't be stupid about this. Did I say "omg, he is 100% gone!!!" based on that video? No, but things can be inferred, in context of situations, in conjunction with things that have been said/done by certain parties. You're one of those people who take everything at literal face-value aren't you? Nothing can ever be deduced, inferred, calculated without 100% knowledge? I never said for sure he was or wasn't leaving based on the video. I agreed that "it doesn't look good" based on body language and actions within the context of the whole situation. I was at the game, feet from the tunnel. I saw the look on Dwight's face, I saw his shoulders, I saw him walking away. You're probably right though...he was probably just really genuinely sad that we won the game. You're hilarious.
