Not to bust your chops, but that's like saying there's a chance that it will rain every day in Orlando around 4pm during the summer. Hey, I hope he does op in, I'm all for it but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Neither am I, but I do trust the person I hear it from. Opting-in seems highly unlikely to me personally, just passing on the info I was told.

Was bound to happen with their absurd underachieving, in NYC/MSG...the Mecca of basketball. Can't keep losing that many in a row. Not in that city, with that talent.

No, but things can be inferred, in context of situations, in conjunction with things that have been said/done by certain parties. You're one of those people who take everything at literal face-value aren't you? Nothing can ever be deduced, inferred, calculated without 100% knowledge? I never said for sure he was or wasn't leaving based on the video. I agreed that "it doesn't look good" based on body language and actions within the context of the whole situation. I was at the game, feet from the tunnel. I saw the look on Dwight's face, I saw his shoulders, I saw him walking away. You're probably right though...he was probably just really genuinely sad that we won the game. You're hilarious.

The fact that his body language showed him sad is what gave me hope! Perhaps he is rethinking the whole situation after watching his team break their asses off to win that game and the past few. This team has heart, the problem is they rely too much in their "leaders" (Dwight, Stan, Jameer, Hedo) to bail them out of harsh situations, when in fact, if they all play like today, we're almost like the finals team. Dwight might have realized that, and that gives me hope, since he wants to finish the season and perhaps end up deciding to stay. That is why New Jersey hasn't rescinded their trade offer: no one (not even Dwight) might know what the future is, and the Nets prefer to have him now, than risk for him staying.

EDIT: Messed up the quotes in the 1st post

I heard from someone that works with the Magic this morning that the Magic are attempting to get Deron. I just blew it off as they are trying for this summer. Regardless, I doubt it is possible.

If he does decide to opt-in for next year, D-Will almost 100% head to Dallas, and then NJ is left having to spend all of their caproom on "nobody" free agents, and is again as the worst team in the league, with absolutely nobody to usher in their new Brooklyn palace. We then pursue tampering charges, and get their draft pick and they get fined. How hilarious would all that be if it came to fruition? Talk about the ultimate payback hahahaha.

Hey I'm hoping he opts in. That gives the Magic another year to make some moves and maybe even open up some cap space in 2013 for Paul.

Orlando lineup in the top 3 units in the East, guess you know who it is. Nelson/JJ/Hedo/Ryan/Howard.

I would be very shocked if CP3 leaves that situation he has in LA. It's a pretty great situation to be honest. I would be much more inclined to believe a big 3 of Monta + JSmith + Dwight would be very doable (since I believe all 3 would be on board for it, and all have openly talked about playing together, and Monta and JSmith have also openly talked about wanting to play elsewhere). Plus, the other 2 might not get max deals, so it's more doable than some other "big 3" proposals.

I don't think anyone should get their hopes up based on anything that doesn't come directly from those involved. But if you want to look at it all objectively, I really think the most likely scenario is that Dwight is just undecided if he wants to commit to Orlando. It's not that he has decided for sure he wants to go to the Nets, it's not that he's trying to be conniving to the Magic to help his future Nets team like some people are dead set on. It's that he wants to keep playing with this contending team and is undecided on his options.

I think it's pretty established we had tried in the past.

On Knicks trade: Chandler would not be that big of a set back at the center... just wonder what kind of Anthony shows up. I personally think Anthony is overrated IMHO

Any legs on the Beasley-JRich thing?
