Lakers fail to reach deal for Beasley

Post#1 » by Desiderium » Wed Mar 14, 2012 7:07 pm

@WojYahooNBA: Portland's talks with Minnesota for Jamal Crawford are part of a 3-way scenario with Lakers, source says. Michael Beasley would go to LA.

lakers send: Steve Blake

portland sends: Jamal Crawford

wolves send: Michael Beasley

picks unknown

If we don't give up any picks, then I'm good with it.

I just dont see what Portland would want from us but perhaps

Lakers out :: MWP and Blake
Lakers in :: Beasley and Felton

Minn out :: Beasley
Minn in :: JCraw

Portland out :: JCraw and Felton

Thats the only thing that makes sense to me unless Portland wants Walton

Is a PG coming our way too??? From somewhere? From anywhere???

I like Beas! Only if he can come off the bench and score like he did a couple of games ago. Or is he going in the starting rotation?? Who knows what Mike Brown will do! :noway:

yeah man, i'm over the dwight situation anyways. I kinda want to keep our picks and start rebuilding though. The players from this years draft would be ready to legitimately play and carry the load around the time kobe retires anyways. but oh well. i still wanna win another ring with kobe

why would we want to trade the only point guard on the team?
why would we want to trade our KD, Lebron, Pierce stopper?

You not down with giving up a first round pick for Beasely? I know you didn't want to for Sessions.

Picks are sexy because of the potentiality of cheap assets to counter our 3 huge contracts.

I'm afraid he'll self-destruct here in LA, if he wasn't like he is then I'd be fine with it.

I didnt think about that...but you are right. I would rather give up Barnes or McBob.

If we give up a pick I can see Mitch making sure we get some 2nd rounder back, you know how much he loves them 2nd rounders

As i stated i really dont see what Portland would want from us but perhaps it would be ...........
Also we would have as PG's Felton and Fish
and yes we would prefer to not give up MWP unless they wanted Walton and i dont see that happening
I also agree part with the picks..we are in win now and i officially think we are out of the Howard sweepstakes

Beasley and Crawford make about 6m so the Lakers would have to send out about that much out also so maybe Walton or Artest or a combo of Blake and Barnes would probably be involved. Maybe even McRoberts.

Can we just get Beasley and Sessions and make a run for the ship?!?!?! GIVE THEM OUR PICKS!

Don't trade MWP, he is still a premier defender.

McRoberts started in Portland and I think they had looked into signing him during the offseason. Could just trade the exception with a pick to the Blazers. Would be an amazing deal for Portland considering they signed Crawford for half a season and would walk away with a 1st. I thought anyone signed in the offseason had to give the team approval to be traded though, is that right? If so, seems odd that Crawford is down for going to Minnesota.

It's a 3 way deal and players are being exchanged so the TPE isn't involved
