Throw in a Lakers pick and I think it's pretty good value compared to letting DJA go for trash later.

pretty sure fisher's not going anywhere. last (and only) time he played for another team he actually got a huge favor from utah's front office to let him out of his contract so he could go back to LAL and be closer to doctors who could care for his sick child.

I think his kid is healthy now, I really don't know. I'd prefer Blake myself but I couldn't get it to work on the ol' trade machine.

Man Howard is smart as hell. He is tricking everybody. The Magic were probably about to trade him to a sorry team and now he wants to stay lmao. So Cho and King lets do the Diaw trade.

I don't have a problem with Crawford, and I think he would be a good piece...but on a team contending for the playoffs. I'm with you, I don't get the logic in this one either. There must be more to it that we aren't hearing yet.

BTW, Steve Reed seems to think we won't make a move, but I don't give him much credit when it comes to NBA talk.

Doubt the Nets do it now. But like someone else posted, Berger has said that there are "Multiple" trades being discussed on the table for Diaw. I think Diaw is moved, but now I'm not so sure it will to the Nets....not sure where else though. I think there is a lot that we don't know about what is REALLY going on everywhere around the league. I'll be there will be some big time trades that pop up here. LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!

If Howard opt-in till 2013, would the Nets be less willing to make the diaw trade since petro, farmar, morrow expire in 2013 anyway?

Please tell me what secnario needs to happen to trade diaw, so I can pray for it!

No reason for the Nets to move those pieces now if they dont need to worry with Howard for another year. Let those espire on their own. But moving a longer contract for an expiring is still a good idea. Just good prep work by the Nets. So I dont think the deal for Diaw would necessarily be dead. Maybe different pieces involved from their side?

Well first scenario would be for Howard NOT to opt-in, but that ships gone. Apparently there ARE other teams out there though, we just don't know about them. So until we do, hard to say what we want to happen!

I wonder if there is traction to the chatter on DJ to Utah? They surely could use them. I was surprised to hear them say they were trying to basically rid themselves of CJ Miles, but I wonder if we could do a trade centered on Miles and DJ? CJ Miles to NJ also seemed to have interest based on his relationship with Deron Williams. This is a trade that would work...

Charlotte in: Jordan Farmar, Utah 1st pick (they have theirs and Warriors)
Charlotte out: DJ Augustin

Utah out: CJ Miles, 1st pick
Utah in: DJ Augusin

NJ in: CJ Miles
NJ Out: Farmar

For Utah they get an upgrade at PG that can grow with their young core. We get a late lottery pick and a back-up at PG (which we had interst in our original NJ trade). NJ gets a player that Williams is familiar with and loose a year of Farmars contract.

Another thing to watch is what happens with Deron Williams. Will he now be traded? If so, to who?

There is plenty going on in New Jersey. Thousands of Nets fans are contemplating suicide since they wont get Howard, and Williams will jettison to Dallas in the offseason.

Guys 2 Magic players have said Howard didn't say anything like that. The source was from somebody with like 300 followers lmao. It's been said that Howard wants to compete for a ship this year then go to Nets in the off season. I think the Nets know this and looking for cap to resign their core without going into luxry tax hell.

I like it but send pick Rockets to Jazz and for Nets to do it we got to take on Petro good thing we have a tpe. Utah will probably trade down anyway and they would still have the higher lottery pick and the Rockets pick to get a pg or a backup sf.

Well we will find out tonight. He has the papers in his hand to forgo the ETO, all he has to do is sign.....I would say it's a pretty safe bet to say that he will be there next season, at this point.

TT for SJax and a 1st

Heck, if we made that trade then I would just cut S-Jax and happily keep that first round pick.

Obviously you can have SJax if you want him. Why you would want him (at this point) is beyond me. But you can't get a 1st for the simple reason that we don't have one to trade.

I would really like to see Howard in Houston. I wonder what kind of pieces they are talking about?

Im beginning to find this Dwight hoopla rather amusing. I would die if he called a press conference right now and announced where he was taking his "talents" to. That would be epic.

Doesn't work. I mean, not that we would do it anyway. But it's not allowed under the current rules.
