Did this really just happen? OMG, I left for lunch and he was signing, come back and he says he's not and he didn't understand what the ETO meant? No way. He admits he said he was staying, it wasn't a lie, but then takes it back? Wow, just wow.

Someone mentioned his new agent having to wait until next contract or something to be paid if he signs. Could have been that.

Come on Dwight. Man up and take responsibility. Seriously? Who is going to take your word that you will opt in next season after you have been talking about every other team you'd love to play for and demanding a trade.

I think Dwight said he wasn't going to opt out so that he could join the Nets as a free agent and be a contender next season. Pretty selfish. He makes Lebron and Melo look as classy as Tim Duncan.

At this point I want it to be over. I'm sick of hearing all the talk from Dwight and I'm ready to move on with a new Magic team, as much as a struggle it may be for a few years.

I'm really disappointed with how Dwight has played this situation all season. I thought he was different from the Lebron's, Melo's, and Shaq's of the world. A true teammate that cares about winning and his fans. I guess I was wrong. He's nothing but, in the words of Axl Rose, a double-talking jive motherf****r.

So Dwight wants the Magic to roll the dice and not trade him. But he doesn't want to roll the dice and opt-in. I'll be just fine with him watching the playoffs from his couch. He is no better then Shaq. So I'll have to hate howard for a decade now which is fine with me.

Agreed, too bad Howard probably doesnt fully understand what that means so he just listens to whatever his agent tells him.

God i hope we can atleast get a couple of high 1st rounders for him, so sick of all this crap, dwight obviously doesnt want to be in orlando, so why bother "trusting him" or "trying to make him happy"?

Somehow I think Duhon is at fault here. He must of said something like "I plan on finishing my career with Orlando", and then Dwight reconsidered staying around.

Yeh I believe the Magic will not trade him too the Nets. If he tries to there in free agency they will pursue tampering charges and I think they will win that argument. Anything short of an unprotected first round pick.
