Magic officials are not surprised. Howard has changed his mind so many times during saga, some brass were bracing for him to do it again.

Howard participated in call before boarding bus on way to arena for game tonight against Spurs, a second source says.

Fegan reminds me of Maverick Carter and CAA. Care more about themselves then their clients, to be honest.

I'd be cool with Bynum/Wallace/Ryno rebuilding team...

I had made my peace with him leaving, but had a tiny bit of hope, "confirmed" rumors come out about him waiving his ETO, now this. Time for a beer run.

Dwight didn't understand the ramifications. Until his agent got to him and told him the ramifications would be that he wouldn't get his cut!!!

Ken Berger ‏ @KBergCBS
By refusing to sign away leverage, Howard forces Magic to decide whether to keep him without firm commitment he'll stay beyond this season.

I hope Dwight Howard never gets a chance to play in another finals for the rest of his life.

This makes him a hundred times worse than Lebron.

I don't know if Dwight understands the ramifications of what he's done

Literally all of twitter, facebook, etc ... all my friends who are Magic fans, their friends who are Magic fans, and so on and so on... the entire Official and Unofficial Magic pages on social networking sites featuring thousands and millions of people... almost all them heard of his "intentions" of opting-in today... it was spread to news outlets... Dwight is going get major (deserved) heat and backlash from this since he changed his mind again... :nonono: dear lord... when a person cares wayyyyy too much about his image, he ends up doing a lot more harm than good imo.

I'm afraid of what's gonna happen during the Nets game when they come here when/if he goes there... they need to lock the arena down... this place is going to be pissed, and it's going to be worse then LeBron's return to Cleveland...

Hopefully they can make a deal. At this point anything is looking better than keeping Dwight the rest of the season. Imagine Dwight in the locker room in about a week, "So remember when I said I was going to opt in...yeah...hang on I'm getting a call from Jay Z!" awkward pause, "Okay guys. Me, Jigga, and Weezy are going to get lunch at have some drinks. You know tonight's gameplan, right? Cool! You're my bros forever. God Bless!"
