Carmelo Anthony isn't a cancer... he's carcinogenic. Oh my God, someone warn Jim Boeheim to get checked

I've been enjoying reading you guys for years but never signed in. But I have a trade that I would like to see. What about our 2 2nd round picks for Hasheem Thabeet? He gives us a big body at 7-3, block shots and intimidation, a few reb and 6 fouls.

I thought about the same thing.

Low risk Move for Thabeet. He's certainly 2things we lack, size and shot intimidator.

No one is intimidated by Thabeet.

Dude was never good...ever.

If I was 7'4 I could dominate in College too...and he didn't even dominate..got **** on constantly by Blair.

Hell as far as I'm concerned his name is Hasheem Blair.

so no thanks. The 2 second round picks are worth more.

That's how bad he is.

and welcome to the board.

How about Ed Davis of the Raps? Good rebounder and shot blocker. I'd give up a first to acquire him.

I haven't paid the Raps any attention this year...

but Davis is a guy that I forget exists.

So not sure how he's panned out for them

Id def pull the trigger on that....any young big with a resemblance of a motor and rebounding/shot blocking ability and id be happy. also would hurt to be bigger than 6'9 considering we have what, 2 players over that?

Is he a shot blocker, tho?

Just going by the stats it doesn't seem that way..also he doesn't start for the Raptors..worrying but I'm no expert.

When you can get a young big like that you do it. I guess...I wouldn't be mad depending on what we would have to give up for him.

Thanks for the welcome Knux but I still say Thabeet. He would only get about 10 min and if he's not effective he would be pulled sooner. Hibbert sucked when he came out but developed. Thabeet has been in the league a couple of years and now is under McHale in Hou so I'm hoping he developed a little. At worst he's Shawn Bradley and he was respectible when he got to Dal. I want a big body for the playoffs.

What about our 2 seconds for the rights to greg oden...or some trade like that..
something minimal to show interest and maybe we can get him for showing faith. i still feel he will be the 3rd best center in the league in 2 years or so.

now that dwight is opting in I dont think I want to amnesty elton. i would rather keep him get the cap space the next year when dwight is a free agent and have the ability to resign elton for a much lower deal. any thoughts.

any good free agents that year of 2012-2013?

hmm for our team. i would love corey brewer...hes a great defender long arms and can be that spot 3 point shooter on our team like bruce bowen was in san antonio he just would have to fill that role with us and he is a winner which I think gets undervalue sometimes when people just look at potential with some players...

Pretty weak list... Singleton and Lee wouldn't be bad pick-ups for cheap.

Watching Philly get hammered again inside the paint, I cannot figure out for the life of me why another big man that can actually play inside defensively and on the boards is not on the agenda.

thanks sixerfan..

It would be awesome if we could get Lee.. can he play SF? he is 6'5, a bit undersized for SF..
If we are looking for SF, I'd be content with Brewer, he's been balling in Denver this season..

Agree...I certainly am not counting on Hawes..anything we get out of him is a bonus as far as I am concerned.

I think the brass realizes they arent going to win anything this year..but to get homecourt you need to win the division and boston is 1.5 out. They should be looking to improve their chances of getting a top 4 seed.

HCA is based solely on regular-season records, I believe. But yea, it's insane that we aren't looking to add a defensive minded center before the deadline.
