This game for me is a must win, we have no momentum after that blunder vs Denver and if we lose this game we'll have 19 losses!!! number 5 in the east (Indiana) only has 16.

I expect the Clips to win. We had a battle last night and tonight won't be any different. I say the Clips by 12.

It's a good thing nobody else is watching this. We're playing under protest - not really but that's the way our players appear. How indifferent are we? We just scored our 2nd basket of the half inside.

And, as I typed that, Iso-Joe began ... and it worked a little. We're closer, down by 7.

We're playing poorly, they're playing stupid. It's like a Mexican standoff, only we're standing toe-to-toe, hitting ourselves instead of the other. Who's gonna knock himself out first?

Did I mention all this is against their SECOND string?

Clippers players (still 2nd team) getting personal with our guys. 2nd stringers rarely see these kind of games so they're having trouble acting with any dignity.

I played in a lot of these games - years ago ... they always ended up in a fight or surrender.

And now we're playing 3 PGs, a SG and a PF, so the answer is we surrendered before the game began.

Teague playing defense with straight knees. Yeah, he's highly motivated.

Guys, if we were a dog, they'd put us to sleep. Matter-of-fact, the way we played ...

I actually stayed up to watch this game. That was as garbage a game as the game vs Denver was a great one.

I joked during the game but I assume we're really tired, which, of course, is entirely reasonable.

Clippers are headed out for a 6-games-in-8-days trip. I may just have to tune in on their last games to enjoy a little schadenfreude. They won't be in people's faces so much, I imagine.

Only Pargo showed any fight.

Marvin is injured. For a guy that a lot of hawks fans hate, you can really notice the defensive falloff when he isn't there.

Yeah. Joe Johnson is a weak forward, athletically, rebounding & defensive-wise.

You look at vids of games alot, could you please watch and tell me what the hell Joe Johnson does when a shot goes up, on either end?

He doesn't crash on the offensive end, but he is never back in transistion. he doesn't crash on defensive end but he is often the trailer of threes after the ball is advanced on the fast break. Does he just...stand still?

I dont have LAC game. But Joe is not the most athletic guy. If he is getting a transition bucket its on a leakout.
He trails for 3s because again he's not the fastest guy on the court.

Idk what you mean he is never back on transition? He matches up with his man on defense. Maybe you saw him drive and pass/shoot leading to a missed shot and he got burnt with speed.

Joe is tall but you dont rebound with your head. You got to box out and chase and do whatever it takes to get the rock.

And lot of times Joe's average length and mobility/athleticism doesn't let him snatch in boards.
