As happy as I am that Dwight is staying another year, I'm kinda bummed that there aren't any rumors about us making any other improvements. Anyone else agree?

Team chemistry is at an all-time high right now. I'm not even mad. Jameer is ballin, JJ and Ryan are doing well, Dwight's all in. If we make a move, it should be minor, at the SF spot.

Can somebody explain Dwight's contract situation if he opts in?

he'll be under contract through the 2012-2013 season, after which he becomes an unrestricted free agent.
He could sign an extension of up to two additional years today for max dollars if he so chose. After July 1 (I think) he can sign up to a three year of extension for max dollars (which would have him under contract through 2016).

If Dwight opts-in, it changes the whole game. The Magic have to be wise about their spending in building around Dwight. They have opportunity to clear a lot of cap space.
