Why does Q need to be moved?

To be honest....to me he's just a cheerleader that has a decent game once in a blue moon and doesn't really affect anything on the defensive end....I think Liggins can do everything Q can but better except shooting but Q isn't out there to be a shooter he's out there to defend and i think Liggins got him in that area.....Plus liggins has shown to be able to attack the basket and can make decent passes....two things i rarely see from Q....all that tells me Q is expendable imho.......

I think ownership needs to completely revamp the organization, Alex Martins should stay as CEO/ President, but Otis Smith needs to go, we need to surround the organization with people with experience, how about hiring some good basketball scouts.

The Nets are working on several alternative trade scenarios to improve the Nets and build around Deron Williams if Dwight Howard decides to opt-in for the 12-13 season with Orlando, according to sources.

The Nets have been hopeful of their ability to acquire Howard, but the team doesn't feel that they need him to keep Williams.

Really? They should be scrambling to put together the best trade possible, because I can't see any way they can keep him at this point.

Q brings toughness, heart, grit, and camaraderie, and is a decent 3 pt shooter. Those intangibles cannot be underestimated come playoff time. Stop acting like the dude makes $6mil+ / yr. He only makes double what Orton does.

So true. Why tarnish his legacy? He has more than enough money to never work again. I can only see him taking on a GM role due to his management of players or president.

Dayum, Magic could use a quality GM.

That's probably exactly what Nets fans have been saying everytime a wiretap article says the Magic were pursuing other trades and not trading Dwight.

I have a feeling they might go after Josh Smith. It's got to be somebody that would play well off of DWill. Maybe they do Lopez (ATL wants a C to move Horford to PF) + Humphries expiring or something of that nature. How HILARIOUS would it be if that was their move and then he just bolted after one year to come down here hahahah.

I wasn't sold on Q until this year. What he brings to the locker room alone are well worth his contract. besides, we need someone to punk on Pierce and Garnett.

Naw. His benefit to the team outweighs whatever he could bring in, which wouldn't be all that much. He seems to be a glue guy. You see him doing a lot of cheering on the bench and we need that to get the guys fired up and play with emotion out there. And he contributes on the floor more than you realize. I think he's pretty solid on D. He's not a lock down defender, but he's effective. I like Liggins too, but I think it's too early to just give him Q's minutes. I mean, if Q and I forget who was rumored, can get us Beasely, then sure. I didn't understand why the Wolves would do that trade when I saw it tho.

And we were. We were absolutely about to trade him today if he didn't waive the ETO.
