Two sources w/knowledge of Nets' thinking say Nets would reject Gasol-for-DWill offer IF Lakers make that pitch before 3 PM trade deadline

Sources say Lakers already DID offer Gasol-centric package for D-Will in December and Nets turned it down. ESPN link: http://es.pn/xNt5kM

Is there any way to do Bynum for Deron, and clear space for Dwight?

Nets say they'll reject Pau for Deron. Odom wouldn't have made the difference. NJ hoping they salvage DW. They'll trade him b4 draft if not.

I wonder if this is potentially holding up the Beasley deal?

Berger:

Nets moving forward with "multiple scenarios" that don't include Dwight Howard, sources say. They do not include moving Deron Williams.

Several teams inquiring on Charlotte point guard D.J. Augustine, league sources say. Bobcats are listening.

I didn't think NJ was going to trade Deron, they have to do their best to build around him and pray to based god that he says. They can't debut in a new arena next season with no star.

3 PM is the deadline for trades if any are to be made. After 3, trades cannot be made until after the season...
