Although unconfirmed by Sac, heard the Kings had inquired about Bobcats PG DJ Augustin. Most intriguing Kings related rumor I've heard

I think Kings need a trade, even if its a minor one. Just to wake up these players.

We should have went after DJ. Traded bad contract with Charlotte like Salmons, Outlaw and Hickson for DJ, Thomas and Carroll. Sucks Portland will probably match now on Batum. We'll see what happens in the offseason now.

Wow, NOTHING? Not even a money move? Not even getting some dead meat off the roster to clear space for some of the younger guys? wow....

Yeah, sucks about Batum now. The Blazers will now be willing to overpay him and that would never make sense for what his role would be here. They straight blew it the F up!

Man disappointed nothing was done, JJ for a second rounder 20 years from now and a cheeseburger would have been nice. Seriously though, glad nothing major done until we see the draft order and draft availability, no reason to until then. But come on Geoff, some of the guys like JJ who we are not going to resign for something.

What about making a run at Deron Williams in the summer now that Dwight's opted in for 2012-13?

Unless the Magic unload a bunch of guys and try to sign DWill, I say we throw as much money as we can at him and hope he bites (though we might be competing with Dallas, who's clearing a ton of cap space for next season as well).

If we're able to sign a PG of his caliber, maybe it would entice others to follow. Maybe get AK47 to come back from Russia to shore up our SF position, especially if we can't land vsomeone like MKG or Harrison Barnes in this year's draft.

Tyreke over Deron Williams? I guess when Chuck Hayes is the key to winning every game here, you can't expect a rational conversation about building a winning basketball team. All credibility = permanently lost.

Anyway, Deron is not coming here. He's let it be known it's either Brooklyn or his hometown, Dallas. Cousins isn't the draw Blake Griffin is that could make a Top 3 PG want to play here anyway. Plus Deron is in that megastar stratosphere of 10'ish players who can actually pick where they want to play without people laughing in their face.

Batum is out of the picture. Portland showed their hand. They'll be investing in him big time.

I'm thoroughly disappointed that we did nothing. Regardless of who we draft, if we go through the summer without a significant trade and/or signing, I'll be wishing the team did move. Whether it's the Maloofs being cheap or Petrie not being aggressive or creative enough, the product on the floor sucks and needs a makeover. We're 0.300 again and things are not looking up. Cousins and sometimes Thornton are the only bright spots. Evans is a bust. Everyone else is either horrible (Hayes, Outlaw, Salmons) or just easily replaceable. If I'm management this summer, I amnesty Hayes and make everybody on the team available except for Cousins and start from scratch.
