Fantastic goal. No less than Bilbao deserve.

Crazy end to that game. United have every right to be upset about the pedantic nature of the free kick that led to the third, but they still had every chance to prevent the goal. Rafael's probably being torn a new one as I type. Then United come up the other end and get a penalty. Should be an exciting second leg.

Bilbao deserved it today but boy, that free kick was idiotic and Rafael was on another planet on that third goal.

I think Valencia is a very safe bet. I couldn't have been more wrong on the strength of La Liga until I paid attention to his competition.

Fail of the year by the refs. No contact at all, player falls down outside the penalty box, a penalty is whistled and Schalke's player went off the pitch with a red card.

Horst Held (manager of Schalke) went nuts in that interview. Called the refs Amateurs, false noses, complained about the 4th ref and said they're employed for occupational therapy.

Chelsea pretty much dominated Valencia in the group stages. They are pretty much the only team we looked good against lol

Wow. Both Manchester teams out. Never seen such a pathetic performance of English team in Europe.

The Hunter strikes again. 3 goals vs. Twente.

First time in a decade that United failed to reach a cup final.

Tactically they're not competetive. Chelsea didn't win because of tactics but because of their spirit (actually I think they simply won because of their height - scored headers, won 70% of their air duels). It's a shame, really. it's hard to take them seriously anymore. English football in decline.

Of course we **** choke it all away to Metalist at home. Injuries killed us, but no excuse to piss it away. **** was this the year to do it with all of these upsets.

This was bound to happen after 3 champions league finals in 4 seasons. Happy to get through this without any injuries.

Both German clubs got tough opponents.

Schalke - Bilbao
Hanover - Atletico

The Eastern European teams in this competition are very strong. I should not wonder if Metalist Kharkiv make an upset winning the trophy.
