Jae Crowder is beasting for Marquette. Looks like a tweener, but an interesting one - has good shooting range, hustles and rebounds well.

Possibly they mean self-discipline issues, but it's still a situation where you need the details to know. For instance, if he was trying to take real classes, and failed one in a weak subject, that would actually be a positive to me compared to some guys who take pretend cup-cake classes and don't challenge themselves.
You could be right, Raf. I just advocate finding out the details before passing judgment.
Academic issues could be not meeting the GPA requirement, which is again, something to monitor b/c if he can't do it in class, there's reason to think the same will happen on the court.

There's certainly reason to think. But it's also not "all you need to know."

I mentioned this in the other thread, but Nene is a floor bound guy who operates well in the paint so if the Wizards are smart, it should probably eliminate Sullinger as a top 6 guy for them. Davis and Robinson would be much better PFs because of their mobility and ability to block shots.

Agreed, Ben. I really hope we get one of those two or MKG.

And we need a rebounder. Nene and Booker are not the best rebounders - though Booker shows signs of improvement.

I just became a lot more convinced of the wisdom of drafting MKG.

Nice to see PJ III coming up large so far, 30 minutes into the game with 0 points...

Need to start looking at scenarios in-which we pick 3-6 should we improve-enough to move-up a little.

I quite like the idea of a Nene/Robinson front court duo. Fingers crossed.
Of course id much rather Nene/Davis but that aint happenin'

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Yeah, but even though his offense stunk, he contributed by being the game's top rebounder in a win. I'm anxious to see how he "rebounds" from that game.

Andre Drummond needs to stay in school another year. What an awful way to end his freshman season.

Drummond's decision is kindofa catch-22. Part of his lack of development was caused by his school choice, imo.

Re: 2012 NBA Draft - Part II
Now that we have nene as one of our bigs and because he's been very efficient scorer hes our option 1 on the inside. Wall will make a 5 point jump in his scoring by introducing a decent 3 pointer into his repertoir plus going to the line more. Look at hoopdata for westbrook and rose for comparison. I actually would outside the top pick go for perry jones if he can be a wing. He doesn't have to carry team, he can be complimentary mismatch and only one in draft who gives us something different

PJ3 cannot play the 3, imo. He's outgrown that possibility, and even when he was thinner, he didn't show adequate lateral quickness to defend on the perimeter. He's strictly a 4 - with a LOT of potential there.

I wonder if trading for Nene, who can play the 4 or 5, will make EG more inclined to pick a wing player.
Thank God we didn't draft the Fat Matador.

Depends on where we pick IMO.

...and who's available. It doesn't change the fact that the Wiz need shooters, and MKG hasn't shown he can shoot from outside.
