yea im not gonna go ape $h!& over not getting hill or thabeet.... but Jordan Hill would have been able to help us imo. We need size and toughness, and we still do.

Yeah, I would have given up Brackins or a 2nd etc for Hill. A 1st? No...

So with Dwight officially off the market, tell me again what the Sixers great plan is for all this supposed cap money next year? They amnesty Brand and let Hawes walk, but then they need to get 2 real big men to start, right?

I get the move for Sam Young today, it makes sense. Meeks/Young/Thad/Vucevic/Allen is a good bench to have. But they still need a backup PG who can actually control an offense, and are sorely lacking in the PF/C department next year. I'm a little lost here. Who else is a Free Agent that they could potentially acquire?

^ Also a FA at the end of the year. Clearly not in Washington's plans, nor should he be.

yea...i have a feeling something was going on with Washington....but something had to be shook up, they are horrid.

McGee came out yesterday saying something like he wanted a contract starting at 14M a year.Young likely was gonna try to command a decent deal as well. They must have decided to part with both of them, knowing they didnt wanna commit/pay them and got a nice player in Nene on a reasonable deal.

Why Denver did it....puzzles me. They just resigned Nene....maybe they feel Javale is a nice long term piece with there young team??? But I dont know where they will get points in the frontcourt aside from oops and putbacks.

Washington just unloaded some bad influences that a guy like John Wall could live without. McGee is an athletic marvel who's immaturity and lack of discipline will likely keep him from becoming anything better than a Samuel Dalembert. As evident by his absurd contract demand. He walks around with a sense of entitlement having never even sniffed the playoffs. Both McGee and Young would rather look good and lose than look bad and win.

Speaking of the Washington/Denver trade...Nene is a guy I would have loved to have had.

Since we're now left to dream about the offseason, how about a PF target...24 years old and really emerging...Ilyasova. Unfortunately, there isn't a ton out there at the center spot, but he may be a really nice option at PF...if the Bucks don't wrap him up before he hits the market. Was thinking about Asik as well, but he'll probably become restricted before the FA period.

Ersan Ilyasova, Milwaukee Bucks – $2.5 million – Unrestricted
Omer Asik, Chicago Bulls – $1.9 million – Unrestricted*

^ I'm pretty sure we'd rather go through all the trouble to sign a better defender and rebounding C instead.
