yea admittedly i fall into this category, yet still probably refresh this board more than any other. there's a handful of posters who are much more educated on the sabermetrics side of the game and it's best to just take a back seat and just read, rather than ignorantly chime in.

post-padding in series threads about adam lind hitting into his 3rd DP of a game is right in my wheelhouse though

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Well, I only post on the odd occasion on this page, but I love coming and reading all the posts and analysis some of the guys on here do.

I consider myself casual Jays fan but definitely want to see them do well and support all Toronto teams.

I didn't mind when the Jays GDT were getting like 100 pages during those early season runs but I will agree that I do not want this board to reach the ignorance level of the Raptors board.

I can already see the threads complaining about Bautista's average, or about <insert "hard-working" player> being a better fit than Yunel...

I hope not. This place was terrible during the whole Yu Darvish fiasco.

I agree. As much as I support growth of the Jays forum I would hope we get members from the BBB or Fangraphs community, not the Raptor fans whom some of which know NOTHING about baseball but think they know EVERYTHING about baseball. I'm not speaking for every poster as some have Raptor signatures and usernames but I'd say the vast majority.

If this forum being more active means more useless posters like yourself, I think we'd all like to avoid that unfortunate circumstance.

Although I don't post much I like the fact that threads in this forum actually have some coherent discussions, unlike the Raptor counterpart.

But if this team starts to take off its only natural that more casual fans will unearth themselves.
That's what she said.

It's not just this forum, but "discussion" of baseball itself has become so infused with stats, even forum threads look like they're produced by computers. Totally devoid of emotion. Discussion without emotion is boring. One guy posts a question, next guy posts some stats, end of thread.

The less posters this forum has bringing up RBIs, the better.

I like the quality of information here. I've sure learnt much more about baseball here without having to go through a ton of useless threads. If you really want an active blue jays board with the same style as the raptors board, then I think the official bluejays forum is fine for that: http://www.forums.mlb.com/ml-bluejays

If the Jays become a contender it will fill up in a hurry

I personally wish the Raptors board had less members anyways. My favorite non TOR team board on RGM: viewforum.php?f=35 They have an ideal size and age level/maturity

I wonder if we'll ever have to go from Series Threads to actual Game Threads?

Blue Jays already have a fairly active forum @ mlb.com. I often post there, but I do enjoy coming over here for new topics.

I like the volume of this forum compared to the mlb.com forum as well. There's so many guys there who make everything a personal attack.

I love shadowing on that forum there are some hilariously uninformed posts that are really just funny at this point. Can't say I've ever posted on it though. Really like this forum glad the Rogers/Darvish shenanigans have passed it was hard to read the same argument everyday.
