ChrisTomasson
Chris Kaman remains No. 1 on Miami's wish list for a big man if bought out by New Orleans. They've been vetting Kaman for more than a month.

Problem is, why would Stern buy out an all-star caliber center and allow him to walk to a contender just like that?

wouldnt Kaman have to go to the auction system where teams under the cap could bid and the winning bidder would get him

Anyway, I am pissed. We had one need and didnt go out and get somebody. Clippers gave up very little to get a need. Lakers did.

Pittman and Curry will not work going forward.

No, because he will be bought out. That only happens when a player is amnestied.

Stern would cause a **** if he bought out Kaman and he landed on the Heat. I'd love it, but I don't see it happening.

Kaman will get to pick his team if he is bought out.

Anyway, I am pissed. We had one need and didnt go out and get somebody. Clippers gave up very little to get a need. Lakers did.

Agreed. Add Chalmers and Cole into that "will not work going forward" discussion as well. Those two have been absolute crap this month and are on a sharp decline.

Teams were trading trash for decent talent. We could have added draft picks to potential trades even.

Edit:
Also LOL at Nene. I get that most would go for the money but he just got sent to NBA hell. Have fun in Washington.

If we get lucky, we may get (or settle) for Jermaine O'Neil or Marcus Camby by the buyout deadline.

Also, with how much Pat loves his vets, I see him making a run at Fisher once Houston buys him out. Mike Bibby 2.0?

Alright. I got my new CBA mixed up. Thanks

Hopefully Birdman and some others get bought out then. That may be our best bet for a big.

Now the question is - when is the deadline for buying out/signing of players?

The sooner the better. There's not that many games left in the season and if we get someone it will take time to integrate them.

Our C rotation this year is worse than last season. Pittman is not better than Big-Z, or Damp, and probably not even Magloire. Haslem has regressed big time.

I thought the PG play had improved but with Chalmers and Cole turning into trash of late I'm not so sure anymore.

Still can't wrap my head around the fact that John Lucas III clowned them on national television - just one night after Jameer Nelson went for his season high against the Heat.

John freaking Lucas the Third.

John Lucas III.

It could have been worse, it could have been Mike Bibby that was being crapped on, or doing the crapping .

I expect Pat to go after Fisher once HOU buys him out. Pat likes his vets.

i just posted this in the Denver forum :

Hey guys i was wondering if u guys would consider a trade of :

Chris Bosh + your pick of Mike Miller/James Jones/Noris Cole

For

Kenneth Faried + McGee ( after u sigh him long term in the summer)

Would u do that trade?

what do u guys think about this trade? i think it would make us a much more balanced and better team. Kenneth Faried and McGee arnt as good a scorers as Bosh but we desperately need what the'll give us inside : rebounds, toughness, blocks and easy grabage points. i would do this trade today if i could.

Mcgee could seize his potential in our system, and Faried is a young, ready now, athletic PF with a lot of upside.

i like bosh but he's not a ggod fit to this team. both those guys are better rebounder and shot blockers than him TODAY, and both will get better with us.

Faried is a beast rebounder and offensive put back guy (look at his numbers starting in Denver) and MgGee is a shot blocking lanky center (a la Camby)

I would probably do that trade as well. Evens out our lineup well

Chalmers (shooter)
Wade (slasher)
Lebron (all around)
Faried (put backs/effort/defense)
McGee (defense, revounding)

our front court is just not championship caliber. soft PF + no rebounding Center = no rings.

never in the history of the league a weak front court like ours won the ship. even the MJ Bulls had much more then what we currently have up front.

the real mistake was getting Bosh and leaving the C spot empty. Bosh is a very good player and person, i like him alot. but his game is just a bad fit. his best strength is scoring, and im talking outside the paint scoring. that's not what a team with Bron and Wade needs from their Big Man. they need a big that will be a strong inside presence - one that will finish strong around the rim, get garbage points, put backs, blocks, hustle and mostly rebounds. sorry - that's not Bosh and he will never be that. his scoring abilities are underutilized on this team, they have to be beacuse he's playing with 2 better scorers then himself.

he's a better player overall then Mcgee and Faried, but they are a much much better fit with our team.

plus we get 2 legit starters for 1 starter and one underutilized bench guy.
