ROFLMAO How many jokes can i recall in my lifetime where Jersey was the punch line...even in Movies too? How many times is Orlando that same punch line? lol enough said. Not anyone's fault but your own that you live or root for a team that plays in the Concrete Boot Capital of the world.
You're an idiot. Go look up the richest states in America.. Have you actually ever been to Jersey?
Unfortunately I have been to Jersey several times. Every time I go there I realize several certainties, it's dirty, it has way too much traffic, is has horrible winter's, taxes are too high, people are rude, most people feel entitled, trying to breathe clean air is impossible, I could keep going on, but no matter how bad these things are the one thing that sticks out the most is I always feel like I have to take a long shower after going to Jersey. Money you may have as far as rich people that live there, but that is money that is not yours and the disparity between those who have money and the people who trash up the place is a pretty large margin.

Oh, and by the way...I'm plenty happy living in the so called "Concrete Boot Capital of the World," what with earning more in three months than the average income of Orlando.

Stay classy, though.

By the way, Orlando is great. Don't know why anyone would put it down.

Earn all you want, you could never afford to live up there in the same manner you could live down here. The cost of living is substantially less, so you SHOULD make more up there or you are not too smart because you are getting taken advantage of.

I'll give you the taxes and winters even though this one hasn't been bad.. But dirty? Have you been off the parkway or out of Newark/Camden? The people are definitely different than in Florida but there's a big difference between the Northeast and Southeast.. Southeast people tend to be very slow and carefree and NE is basically the opposite. I wouldn't say ppl here are rude, just don't lollygag around like in the South. I have a bunch of family in Fla, it's cool for a few days but I could never live there.

FYI when you compare Orlando to any decent place in Jersey or near that a player would live this is the cheapest result I got. These results is how much lower Orlando is in comparison. I hope you do make a lot more because just to get a decent house up there it is 216%

Food 14%
Housing 53%
Clothes 35%
Transportation 38%
Personal Care 8%
Entertainment 28%

What's funny is a 100k salary in the New Jersey area is equivalent to a 52k salary in Orlando.

NJ has its fair share of bad places (Newark, Camden) and great suburban areas (that rank among the best areas in the nation).

Yeah but salaries here are substantially higher. We are close to 2 major cities with a lot of job opportunities, NYC and Philly. Plus there's a lot of great colleges/universities around here. NYU, Columbia, Princeton, Villanova, TCNJ, Rutgers, Cornell, etc. Plus NJ is ranked one of the smartest states in the country so growing up here you have a good shot at getting into a good school and getting a high paying job.

Cost of living bonuses are in addition to most salary, friend.

And seriously, get out. This is a thread on the merits of the article, if you want to discuss how much awesome Orlando is in comparison to New Jersey, fine, go do it on the Magic board.

It's funny, NJ gets trashed for being a dump, yet every time those "best places to live" lists come out, multiple places in NJ are near or at the top of the list. It's one of the wealthiest states in the country, with some of the nicest areas of the country.

Not gonna lie, yeah there's bad places, but the good far outweighs the bad. NJ is one of the nicest places to live, that's a fact. Anyone that says otherwise is just ignorant...or is trying to incite people on an internet forum, which is just pathetic.

Stephen A Smith didn't say anything bad about the city of Orlando or any other state or franchise. This on the other hand is attacking the whole of NJ, the Nets and its fanbase.

Big difference, learn to comprehend sometime before you talk out of your ass.

As a Magic fan, when you see the writings of Mike Bianchi, don't bother reading it. You think what he wrote about the Nets is bad, you should have read what he wrote about Dwight during the months prior to the trade deadline. Let's just say that Dwight stayed in Orlando despite of Mike. I think he is specifically hired to tick people off, I can't stand his writings.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.-John 3:16

Go Magic, Go Dwight, Go Vuc, Go Paolo, Go Keegan :)

Bianchi and Schmitz are morons... No one in Orlando takes them seriously, so neither should anyone else. The real reporters (povtak and Denton) were let go from their jobs and these assclowns got to keep theirs, idk how...

Anyways, I'll leave the trashing of another city to rappers and whatnot, but I will represent my city to the fullest until the day I die...

Orlando and its suburbs are beautiful places to live... Warm weather basically year round, the beach no more than an hour and a half away in either direction, multiple water parks and theme parks, hotels recognized nationwide, nightlife, places to eat, and since we do only have one major professional sports team, the whole city rallies around them and supports them... You can't imagine the buzz that has been around the city the last few days because of Dwight, from "stay Dwight" banners to "thanks you Dwight, otown loves you" billboards... That and there is no state tax and the cost of living is a lot less than most places in the country
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Bianchi and Schmitz are the worst.

Trust me, even Magic fans have written them letters and emails saying how terrible they are and how they should be fired.
