The official Anthony Davis lotto luck thread

Post#161 » by UstaadJi » Sun Mar 18, 2012 5:19 am

This is for all the positive energy to come together.

Anthony Davis is a once in a lifetime defender, who has the tools to be a true game changer on both ends of the floor. A sure fire number 1 pick, and the most sure fire thing since Durant (and before that Lebron) Make no mistake, we win the lotto...and this team's fortunes are changed forever. We will have the best young front court in the entire league with Davis and Val. I can't remember the last time a team had 2 young promising front court players THAT talented. Nightmare for a decade, and they would compliment each other perfectly.

This is our year to get a once in every 25 years type of player. It's funny how the NBA works...whenever a great player is on the brink of retirement..a similar younger one who shares the strengths will appear...just as KG is fading..Duncan is fading.......in comes a dominating/smothering defender in Davis with the offensive prowess potential to boot.

THIS IS IT, THIS IS THE YEAR..we aren't going to be bad forever, how many times will we be in the lotto picture? Will the stars finally align?...let's help them.

Mods, can you please sticky this?

Only positive energy in this thread.

:D :D :D :D

Every single time you see this thread, feel how it would feel if we win the 2012 Draft Lottery, that feeling that it produces...even for 5 seconds.

I can see it now... The Raptors playing with the best looking big man and worst looking big man in the NBA

All jokes aside, we need star talent and Davis seems to be the only sure thing in this draft.

In the late first - second round, I like:

Crowder
Waiters
Kabongo
Wroten
D. Lamb
Moultrie
Fournier

I have a feeling the Raptors end up moving up to the second spot in the draft lottery and drafting Barnes, but in the meantime...

Stern disapproved. MJ revolted.

 I am not surprised the Min one (traded to NO) ended up being the first overall.

!! Let's keep it positive

From PTI, Tim Duncan comparisons, coaches saying he's the best shot blocker in the last 25 years, saying he has 10 time NBA All Star potential...saying he's just trying to play efficient in Kentucky right now to fit in..haven't seen everything at all....can do a lot more with both hands.

Get excited.

If Toronto won the lottery I think I'd become a season ticket holder. But Toronto isn't tanking hard enough; there's 21 games left and the team needs to lose at least 15 to stay Anthony Davis bound.

Tanking has no barring on getting the first pick, it's pretty much guaranteed to be one of Charlotte or NOH.

Hopefully Stern looks into his heart and gives us an early christmas present this year.

What's funny is that in that video, you can replace Davis with JV and the same things apply.

Hope to get him, would really make things exciting with a future of Val + Davis. Our upcoming 10 games can really get the tank rolling by facing top notch teams.

Cavs lost Lebron, won 2011 lottery. Raptors lost Bosh, will win 2012 lottery. 8-)
Or realistically, because the Hornets lost Paul, Stern will ensure that HIS team wins the lottery.

I'm as high on JV as most people, but comments like this make me understand why people think Raptors fans overate him so much.

NO is getting that first pick. Stern will make it happen.

I just hope the bobcats don't get the #1 pick.

An Anthony Davis/Biyombo front court would be GOAT defensively

I kept watching the ticker in that Jay Bilas video where they talk about Rondo. I'm all for getting Anthony Davis. Keep it positive people!
I believe in Masai.
