It's already decided, Hornets are winning the #1 pick. You will see!

In that case.. I think it's time to part ways with Andrea.. Go all rebuilding mode.. Davis Val is hell of a frontline

Do we move the Boy Bargs to small forward if we end up with Davis or do we ship him outta here for a wing player?

Personally I think the Boy Val should come off the bench for his rookie year since that whole season is gonna be a huge shock for him.

Seeing him go would suck, but no question you trade him to make room for Davis.

If we luck out with Davis, I think you pretty much have to get rid of everyone on the roster to build around Davis and Val.

Trade assets for Rudy Gay, Bargnani for a starting SG.

Nash
Harden
Gay
Davis
Valanciunas

^ Something like that would be fantastic.

Would you guys trade the number one pick if we got it for Griffen or Love?

Siva would absolutely be destroyed by the Real GM board if he was drafted.

Remember he is a senior. He does WAY too many stupid things for a college senior -- that does not bode well when translating to the next level. He has improved in that area somewhat, and has learned how to exploit is athleticism and skills at the college level.

Don't get me wrong. nice college player, but would be a board whipping boy even playing a few minutes.

9-12 behind the arc! I don't know what else he does, and I don't know which year he will enter the draft, but get this kid on Team Canada! On the season, he's 44% behind the arc

Can't wait to see him raining 3's for team Canada in the future

Since there's actually a clear cut #1 pick this year, I have no doubt that we will not win the lottery. that would be too fortuitous for us. We only get "lucky" when it's inconsequential. Anyway, in order to feign positivity, I'll say that despite us having no shot at Davis, we could possibly end up with a gem in one of the other players. After all, even Durant wasn't a first overall pick.

Getting Davis allows us to move one of Ed, Amir, or Bargs (maybe even two of the three) for another high pick or for an impact player at a different position. Obviously, it would be a dream but I have this gut feeling New Orleans will get the #1 pick (Davis), and Bobcats' getting #2 and taking Barnes from NC.

Griffen means too much to the Clippers. He's an established and marketable star. Maybe for Love. I would look to acquire Gordon over Harden if you are going to sign Nash. Gordons a pure scorer, while Harden is a facilitator who plays better with the ball in his hands. He makes Nash (a pure facilitator) slightly redundant IMO.

This is the 4th or 5th time in less than two pages that someone has implied a conspiracy by the NBA to have certain teams win the draft lottery.

Lets put that notion to bed right now shall we?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NBA_Draft_Lottery

[To determine the winner, fourteen ping pong balls numbered 1–14 are placed in a standard lottery machine and four balls are randomly selected from the lot. Just as in most traditional lotteries, the order in which the numbers are drawn is not important. That is, 1-2-3-4 is considered to be the same as 4-3-2-1. So although there is a total of 24 (4!) orders in which the balls numbered 1-2-3-4 can be picked, they are all treated as the same outcome. In doing this, the permutation of 4 balls from 14 becomes the combination of 4 balls from 14. That is, the total of 24,024 (14! / 10!, or 14x13x12x11) possible permutations is reduced by a factor of 24, to 1,001 combinations (or 14! / (10! x 4!)). Of these, 1 outcome is disregarded and 1,000 outcomes are distributed among the 14 non-playoff NBA teams. The combination 11-12-13-14 (in any order that those numbers are drawn) is not assigned and it is ignored if drawn; this has never occurred in practice.

...

The lottery is conducted with witnesses verifying that all 14 balls are represented once as they are placed in the lottery machine. The balls are placed in the machine for 20 seconds to randomize prior to having the first ball drawn. The remaining three balls are drawn at 10-second intervals. NBA officials determine which team holds the winning combination and that franchise is awarded the #1 overall draft pick.

...

The drawing of the ping-pong balls is conducted in private, though observed by independent auditors and representatives from each team.

Simply put, the NBA draft lottery is impossible to fix.
The absurd mystery of the strange forces of existence.

Almost got my hopes up, then I remembered it's the raptors. I just hope we only move down by 1 spot.

I'm as high on JV as most people, but comments like this make me understand why people think Raptors fans overate him so much.

What are you talking about? Didn't JV have a growth spurt? Doesn't he have big hands? Isn't he very efficient? Can't he get you 20 points only taking 8-9 shots? Isn't he a nice guy with a great demeanor on the floor, nothing bothers him? Great competitor that never backs down from anything?

But yeah, I guess I overrated him by stating the obvious.

Tanking has no barring on getting the first pick, it's pretty much guaranteed to be one of Charlotte or NOH.

Hopefully Stern looks into his heart and gives us an early christmas present this year.

by pretty much guaranteed you mean 45% chance according to the rules of the draft lottery. 5-7 combined has roughly the same shot as #2 does by itself.
