Really didn't like him all year and last year because he has been so bad on both sides of the ball, but it would be weird to see Fisher wearing another jersey. I couldn't get used to seeing him in the Utah jersey, and I for sure won't for Fisher wearing a Rockets jersey. Don't really want him as a player anymore, but I sure hope he takes a spot in our FO

As much as I love Fish, what he's done for the team on and off the court, it was his pride that got him traded IMO.

The thing that has bothered me about him the last couple years is that he carries that entitled attitude that he should start, that he's going to keep playing, etc. but then he will go off about how he wants whats best for the team and yadda yadda. There comes a point in time as a player (and as a person in life) where you need to understand who you are and what you can and can't do. There have been plenty of times where he could have and probably should have offered to take a lesser role, develop other guys if he really really cared about the team. I understand signing a contract and taking care of yourself and your family but doing it in the guise that you are doing whats best for the team is BS. For being a smart guy, I've seen him time and time again make just the most inexplicable bone headed plays and shots. And for being a guy that since he can't defend, penetrate, or do much of anything else, his only job is to hit open shots off two great post players and a guy that draws more attention than anyone in the league and you aren't doing it? That's not good enough.

Can he hit clutch shots? Sure. Does he need to start or play heavy minutes to do so? No. Could he be a locker room presence, and a mentor and not start or play big minutes? Absolutely. Anyone remember how Steve Kerr was on the Bulls? and Spurs? Guy would play 2 min stretches at the end of quarters and specific situations and was always ready and reliable and never complained about role or minutes.

Point is, Fish has just been too proud lately, too entitled and Mitch didn't have a choice but to make the tough decisions for him. Best of luck to him and I am proud and appreciative of what he did at times in the past, but I'm also in the camp that believes if we had a more solid guy contributing (perhaps if he stood aside at times) maybe we don't even need those clutch plays. I am glad that the organization is not being too sentimental, it's not good for the team overall. I think they will always respect him and have a place for him in the office or sideline.

^^^ You hit the nail on the head.

Anyway, I appreciate everything that Fisher has done for the organization and wish him the best.
