Jonas Valanciunas needs Raptors fan-base help! Show your love and help Jonas with your vote to become MVP of the 2011-2012 season.

Fans’ vote for MVP identification of the regular season-2011/12 will last for two weeks till April, 2nd. Five players, who will get the highest rates in vote will get points (from 5 to 1, according to number of votes), which will be included in total score for the MVP identification.

Most valuable player of the regular season will be set due to:
- Poll on the League’s web-site
- Players’ efficiency rate (sum of statistic rates)
- MVP of the month titles and being in month’s symbolic five during current season
- VTB United League council experts’ and «Sport-Express» newspaper opinion.

In today started poll «Name MVP of the regular season!» fans have to choose one out of eight players. The list of pretenders for the honorary title was generated by League’s council of experts, which noticed not only individual statistics of players, but also their clubs’ results. One player from each club qualified for play-off became a nominee.

Dude, this is fan voting. Of course it's a popularity contest. It always was and always will be.
Look at who's got the most votes.
Lithuanians are notorious for their spam-voting power in European basketball, no one else gives a crap about online voting nearly as much as they do. And majority of them are Zalgiris fans. So yeah, Jankunas = MVP :lol:

JV second place. And those who objectively deserve it more, such as Loncar or Beverley - 0 votes.

In response to the rise of Valanciunas in the web-poll, Zalgiris fans have decided to create a "Make Jankunas famous" youtube video, and plan on taking the streets of every country in the world on April 1, 2012 by putting up Jankunas' name and posters all over town
