I became a Wolves fan when they drafted KG. I saw myself in his game. I was a tall, athletic, skinny kid who could do a little bit of everything, like KG. So I modeled my game after his and followed every step of his career.

Like others have mentioned, the logo helped make it an easy choice, lol, but KG was the main reason I became a Wolves fan.

When KG was traded, I focused more on the Celtics than Minnesota hoping KG would get a ring, but I still followed the Wolves and cheered for them every night.

I didn't know nothing of Minnesota before the 2009 draft, except Dylan, Prince and The Jayhawks. When Rubio was drafted then I could put Minnesota in the map and I knew was a cold place, and I imagined it as the Fargo movie's place or something like this .

Almost three years after I'm losing time of my dream watching his basketball team.

Find it so funny that like 35 percent of the people here are wolves fans because of a videogame!

Anyway, I have always been a bit disapointed in my fandom. I have been in Mineesota all my life, my father worked at the Target Center for many years while I was growing up. As a Kid I had no interest in watching any sport really. My father working at Target Center frequently interacted with players, got free tickets, everything and I has zero interest. KG and other players would sometimes give my dad shoes that he would give to my older brother.

I had so many oppurtunites to see games, possibly meet players, and I never cared at all to take advantage of them. One day during class in maybe 5th-6th grade, my dad came to pick me up early because I was going to spend the day with him. At the time he had a coat with the new wolves design. He brought me one as well. Nobody knew what it was going to look like so the fact that he had one and gave me one was awesome because we had early access. The other kids saw it and thought it looked cool. I did as well and having something that cool looking sparked my interest.

Even then, it wasn't unitl a few years later when I really started to even watch games. I was playing my brothers NBA Live 99 and that game was special because you could unlock Jordan. You had to beat him one on one in a street game to do so. I couldn't beat him with anybody so I decided to use KG. I ripped Jordan a new one and thought to myself.... "This guy is pretty good..."

After that I started watching games and became a hardcore fan around 2002. I kick myself all the time for not taking advantage of the great oppurtunites I had when I was a child. Pops had the hook up and I did nothing!

My first video game experience with the Wolves was on "NBA Courtside". That was around the same time I got interested in the Wolves, but I don't remember which came first

Some really great stories. Hangntuff, that is really cool you saw the Lakers at the Armory. Some years back had a coworker that would've been a few years older than you and he'd tell me stories of all the old stadiums and teams. Always fascinated me.

I've been rooting for the Twolves since '09, the time they drafted Rubio. I liked the team, thought it had tonnes of potential and really liked Kevin Love since his rookie year (I am a big stats fan, and he has been great from day 1). Didn't really become a fan until the beginning of this season.

haha i liked how their jerseys and court looked awesome. I lvie in LA and i remeber it was 2004 playoffs timberwolves and lakers. Lakers won game 6 (i think) i just remember how Garnett played like a beast and researched more about him. I watched games whenver it was on national TV, they would lose a lot lol. I still remember in middle school where they a winning streak and Garnett hit two game winners. I was more of a Garnett fan than Timberwolves. He then moved to Celtics and I watched him get a championship. He was getting too old and watched how Rondo dominated the 2008 playoffs against Bulls when KG was out, so I was now a Rondo fan haha. but idk why this season i came back to the timberwolves. I seem to be liking them. One of the reason would be Derrick Williams (he lived around my area) and watching him play was cool.

Revealing my age here... I became a fan when it was announced we were getting the franchise, and me and my then gf were at the very first home game in franchise history, sitting WAY the heck up near the top of the Metrodome. For their 2nd season, when they moved into Target Center, I had season tickets that were at center court. They were in the very last row of the upper deck, but they WERE center court.

Most of my family are from Minneapolis and I spend a lot of time there. The KG trade stung bad.

Born and raised in Hibbing, hometown of Kevin McHale. Been a fan since they first started. Saw the Wolves get trampled by the Pistons in the Dome when I was like 4 or 5 (the same day my burning hatred of Zeke began) and have been a fan through the good and the bad.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I grew up playing basketball and naturally have been a die-hard wolves fan my entire life. I even bought the cheapest season tickets possible in my junior year of high school, the year after we traded KG and went to 25+ games.

This year has been glorious to me, even with the injury to Rubio.
