Injury Report
LA Clippers - Chauncey Billups, torn left achilles
IND Pacers - Jeff Foster, sore lower back

Preview
The Pacers were 0-2 their last two games against the Knicks and look to come up with a win. New acquisition Barbosa will make his debut tonight and with a strong bench the Pacers already have, may prove difficult for the Clippers and their second unit.

Though the Clippers have won their last two games, they are considered in a time of struggle with almost every game in the last 1-2 weeks being nailbiters. Nick Young had a somewhat par debut against the Pistons, but played more minutes than Mo Williams. Perhaps a sign of things to come as Nick Young will have interesting matchups against the likes of Paul George, Barbosa, or a George Hill. CP3 and Blake will always provide but how much effort from CP3 need to put in this game on the Clipper's second back-to-back-to-back?

What NBA2k12 says...
Indiana Pacers, 100
Los Angeles Clippers, 112

That's a good point, we have 3 games in 3 nights. Not sure if we will just sit out some of our regulars, but if we are out of it early we may just sit some of the guys for the rest of the game and get ready for the next one.

Jflip, nice thread so far.

If one of Paul/Griffin were to rest any game, it may as well be the same one. I strongly doubt we'd win if one were out. I don't see us resting either unless it's toward the end of the season and that it would be in our "best interest" to do so for basketball reasons (playoff seeding).

If we rest anyone, it should be for the game in New Orleans. Indiana isn't a team to overlook and the game in OKC is winnable. I'd honestly sit Butler for a game or two until he gets his groove back, kind of like what Dallas has done this year. I'd also consider resting Paul/Blake for the OKC game just to make sure we don't blow the Hornets game, which I won't be shocked with how stuff has been going this year.

It will be a tough one as the Pacers are one of the best teams of the east.

Still, I want a victory on my birthday and hope the Clippers will do me that favour. 8-)

Oh snap jflipclip, I like it bro! Very original :)

This will be a huge win in the right direction, let's go Nick Young give us some production.

Awesome thread, but one correction - Bobby Simmons is no longer with the team. I'm assuming Bledsoe will get some mins now.

BTW, on a Pacers forum, half of 'em have us beating the Pacers to my surprise:

Health is critical for the Clippers. They already are victim to Chuancey Billups who has been injured. With the addition of Nick Young the Clippers will get some much needed help coming off the bench which will provide a few of the starters to take longer breaks during this shortened season.

They have a really nice bench. Great matchups from 1-5. Right now we're an above .500 team on the road so this game is winnable. :)

I'm hoping this will be Young's coming out party. Butler has to contribute though and DJ can't get into early foul trouble. We need a strong showing from our bench to secure this victory.

I never noticed that the starting lineup has jersey numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, Blake is the odd man out.

Making the trip up from Bloomington to see the Clippers try to pull this one out...should be a good one!

Rumor has it that Nick Young will start at #2. Like someone mentioned b4, I am hoping that this is his coming out party.
3 games in 3 nights, I think they are all winnable and could help this team gel. DJ needs to watch the fouls & finish games like he has been doing, Caron needs to knock down those shots. Now w/ Simmons gone, I wouldn't be surprised if we see Nick playing a #3.
Happy BDAY Det!

I put my lil preview and what NBA 2k12 says, for fun. lol

I'm gonna make each of my gamethreads different so I guess this is my NBA2k12-themed one. =D

Another note: I wonder how much of a difference Barbosa will be for the Pacers.

Barbosa is potentially huge for them. Inability to score is one of their biggest problems at times and he is instant offense.

12 ppg in about 24 minutes isn't chopped liver, he will win some games with them and should be more motivated to be back in the playoff picture again. Getting him for just a 2nd round pick was a steal.

Nick is in the starting lineup and Foye will be coming off the bench. Happy Birthday Det, hope the Clippers can win this one for you.
