Smith became Director of Community Relations for the Orlando Magic from 1996–1998, then was Vice President of Marketing & Community Relations for Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida for a year from 1998 to 1999. However, he missed basketball, and joined the Golden State Warriors Foundation as Executive Director of Community Relations from 1999 to August 2002. During the 2002-2003 season, he worked as Executive Director of Basketball Operations for Golden State. Returning to Florida, he spent two years as Director of Player Development for the Magic, then was promoted to Co-General Manager for 2005-2006 season. He was named General Manager of the Orlando Magic on May 3, 2006.[2]

i remember brian hill really wanting redick too, so in 7 years, 12+ picks, redick is the only one contributing

I dont think so but he would be a huge upgrade over BBD imo, I bet he heads to the heat to add some size, and hes only like 25 I think?

Smith was part of the war-room long before he was GM. But he did not have an executive choice, as mentioned above, until 2006.

Drafting is our biggest issue. Most teams would at least be able to find a back up even third string PG in the draft. Same with back up center. Our inability to draft even back ups mean we need to keep throwing money at veterans.

Hickson has been as bad as Big Baby. Funny Sac town got tired of it and cut him. While Davis still getting big minutes for us.

And even when we find good talent (Lee) we trade him away as soon as possible. Funny how management can't wait for anybody and yet, they have never won anything in over 20 years.

That Diener pick is the only thing warding off the pink slip.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

not adding another player...

Our backup PG is Chris Duhon
Out backup C is Glenn Davis

Derek Fisher and Turiaf available. Waive Orton and waive Smith.

Guys on message boards should not be proposing obvious improvements to our roster that our GM is refusing to make.

How much better would we be if we waived orton, signed turiaf and used ish instead of duhon?

Using my new algorythm

Davis and Duhon playing less= more wins for the Magic
