He's active, will earn a DNP tonight from the looks of it.

Sweet Jesus, what did Kaman do, bang your sister?

The Hornets are one of the few teams that could actually use Blatche given how few players they have under contract, beyond this season. I don't think that Kaman really has much value to the Wizards, he isn't efficient or a good defender.

Nick Young would have been a bit of insurance if Eric Gordon leaves. McGee would be their second most talented player. Maybe the Wizards would had to take on Ariza to even things up a little.

J. McGee(notes) DNP - Coach's Decision

I'm picturing Javale's agent and Pammy - listening to Pearl Jam's "Black".

Checked out the Denver board. Their fans are like W T F. None of their 7 footers got much time and they actually had Harrington playing center for awhile.

George Karl is walking a fine line in Denver.

He convinced management to re-sign Wilson Chandler for 5 years, $37M. Chandler is a guy he trusts. After not being with the team this abbreviated training camp and season, Wilson Chandler stepped in last night and played 27 minutes in what turned out to be a 17-point loss to Dallas. That was more minutes than Faried, Gallinari, Harrington, Brewer, and Fernandez played. Karl is the head coach but that kind of move is going to raise eyebrows, particularly in a big loss. Chemistry issues/problems on the team can take place.

Chandler put up 16 shots--4 more than the next closest player on the team. The Nuggets lost by 17. Gallinari had 4 points for the game.

On McGee's first night with the team, he registered a DNP-CD. Some of you are happy about that because you want McGee to fail. You will rationalized Karl must think Javale sucks. I said he would do well in Denver, but that won't happen if he doesn't play. All I can say about yesterday is of 4 Cs on the Nuggets roster yesterday; Mozgov played 9 minutes, Koufas played 16 minutes, MCGEE played 0 minutes, Anderson also played 0 minutes.

My only conclusions are with Dirk killing them and playing some C, Karl tried to match up. Also, Karl plays favorites and will soon lose the respect of his team. If he doesn't watch it, he's going to be fired just like Nate McMillan was.

I don't conclude anything about McGee other than that was one game.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

Galinari did break his thumb.

It was his non-shooting thumb. :)

I guess Karl considers Harrington more of a big man than a SF. I think he likes having an extra shooter out there.

So basically every coach tht doesn't do eactly what you would do with McGee should be fired - which is every coach he's ever had.

I only watched the 1st half but Faried was getting abused defensively by Dirk and as a whole Denver's defense was porous which gave up 62 points. Koufos even got some time because he did a relatively good job guarding Dirk.

I guess what the overall stats don't tell you is that Chandler had a great 1st half but must have cooled off in the 2nd half. Al Harrington must have done a relatively better job guarding Dirk compared to Faried, etc.

I suspect Karl just didn't feel comfortable playing McGee right now given his lack of familiarity with the system that he's running.

McGee didn't appear to be familiar with Washington's system even after 3-1/2 years.

Now that's a low blow.

Since McGee is gone now i think we should probably ease up on him a bit. If nothing else it will reduce CCJ's blood pressure.

I like Faried's hustle and energy but Dirk took the guy to school last night. Forget about wing span and verticals, Faried couldn't guard Dirk. It's a 6'6'' dude going up against a 6'10'' guy, who wins? That's basketball, we like to throw these meaningless stats out about how high a guy can jump, if you're 5 inches smaller than the guy you're guarding, you're done.

Karl likes small ball, he's basically Eddie Jordan, only better. At one point he had Lawson and four wings on the floor, that's who he is.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Ronny is going to end-up with the Heat or the Celts, the trade worked-out well for him.

Karl isn't as bad as Don Nelson (another ex Bucks coach) in that regard, but yeah - he'll go small ball when he likes the matchups.

Who could ever forget the 07 Warriors that had Baron, Monta, SJax, Barnes and Biedrins on the court. Small ball to the max
