Miami Heat would just become a retirement home for a bunch of old hasbeen players. I bet they have an introduction video like this for all free agents and players that are going to be been traded here. You know the one the voice that sounds kinda like Jim Carey in Ace Ventura.

"If you are a hasbeen vet that can't play NBA Level Basketball...come on down to South Beach. We have Lebron James. 2 Time NBA MVP. We have Dwyane Wade. Finals MVP and 2005 NBA Champion. We Also have Chris Bosh, Perennial All Star. Here at the Miami Heat Organization, you really don't need to be able to play high level basketball, that is what Lebron, Chris and D-Wade are for. What we need for you to be able to do is Shoot Jumpshots, Rebound and Defend. That is all the Miami Heat require of you. Also if you are over 30, that is a plus. Of course if you are a former NBA Champion or been in the league for 13 plus years, that is also a plus. What we would want you to do is provide Championship Experience, meaning sit your old ass on the bench. That's right sit your old ass on the bench and talk to our players in the locker room. Yes we have our best players that have been to an NBA Finals before, they have won MVPs, been to multiple All Star Games, but nothing more important in the Heat organization than old geezers that are pass their prime and need to retire but are ring chasing and will have absolutely nothing to do with their team winning a championship ring. I hope you will enjoy your stay with the Miami Heat Organization, where you will most likely sit on the bench.

(Then in fast speech, like those commericials for medicines that will cause liver failure just to cure your rash.)

If you are young, below the age of 27, can sprint, jump high, and do other things besides shoot jumpshots, rebound and defend, we are not interested. Sincerely, the Miami Heat Organization. "

I hope we sign him.....your negativity is terrible. You want all these young athletic guys who can do everything and guess what so does every other team. We dont have money for those guys because they get higher salaries then we can offer. If you want to get these guys why not buyout the big three and go for all these guys and see how far we go.
29 other teams envy what we have but some fans just want to complain about everything

I am being honest...WTF have any old guy on the Heat have done for the team lately.

Bibby was horrible
BIg Z was horrible
Jerry Stackhouse didn't even last
Daimper was horrible
Mike Miller is injured like always
Haslem isn't enough
Juwan is just there to fight
Shane is offensively is feast or famine

Young athletic players are cheap and have ability, they can actually do stuff. WTF Derek Fisher is gonna do. If he could do something the Lakers would've kept him.

I am being a realist. Yeah, getting the Big 3 is nice and all...but they loss last year...and...they have no assets besides the Big 3. That's just the truth, nobody wants Mike Miller, Haslem and Shane Battier. And they are gonna be here for a long time.

You can go to the Dleague, get you some talent on the cheap and do way more than paying Mike Miller money, or Shane Battier money.

Gerald freaking Green is cheaper then the players the Heat have. And he's 26. And you can lowball the **** out of him because he just wanna play and he comes from the Dleague. You can play him 20 mins because he is productive. Spo don't even play most of his bench in the first place besides Haslem and Shane....and only reason he plays them is because he has to.

Free Agents don't come here because they want to play. Not sit on the bench and do the bare minimum and ring chase.

That's why every old dude wanna come to the Heat. It's the truth, you can just tell by they play.

Lebron passes Miller, Miller looks at the ball and pass it right back. Lebron is like "WTF, shoot it."

And Spo don't wanna play Miller many minutes because he can't "defend the Heat Way".

My thing is, if you wanna play this fast intense athletic style of defense and you have problems with the bench scoring, then get the right players to play it. Don't go out and get Mike Miller and Shane Battier and then just stuff the roster full of old dudes or out of shape players.

You have James Jones who is just knock down shooter and his defense ISN'T THAT BAD, but Spo feel the need to play Shane. James Jones is also the only player that doesn't crap bricks when he gets the ball and he actually shoots it. And he is a knockdown shooting shotmaker and with Lebron giving him the ball JJ could be getting 12 points a game.

I don't understand how you gonna wanna play this style of defense...and you get Mike Miller knowing damn well his history of playing defense. You get Shane Battier, yet he's not a scorer, really just a Bruce Bowen. Who is more of a one on one defender, not some guy that is gonna rotate all over the place. You have Dexter Pittman and Eddy Curry? Only one that can physically capable of playing Center the way the Heat want is Joel Anthony.

The Heat also has Jarvis Varando overseas...but they go reach out to Eddy Curry... come on son.

The only good player that the Heat has added since the Big 3 is Norris Cole.

He the only that plays like he gives a damn and he is the one that is physically capable of playing the way Spo wants him to. He is also cheap.

Miami's future with Mike Miller's contract, Shane's contract, Haslem's contract and Joel's contract...looks like the LA Laker's now. Old and all those vets that you signed for Experience...look like they need to be sitting down at home.

We need a big man who can defend and rebound.

That is all.

Scoringis a non issue with this team.

Joel is an inadequate rebounder.

You know that.

This is irrelevant but I can't help it with Cable's rant about the age of our player's, like Miller and UD.

UD I think will stay as long as he wants to play basketball. He got an opportunity to be a Maverick last year actually, but stayed with us. He's with us for life. I don't mind, just... we need a back up Center so he can play his natural position because he sucks at Center.

Miller, lmao I think this dude will be amnestied or traded if he gets injured again and doesn't prove his worth IN THE PLAYOFFS. He sucks defensively (he's scrappy, there is a difference, he always lets the other team's sharpshooters hit 3's), his rebounding is OKAY (but didn't help when we had our rebounding woes), and is hesitant to shoot the 3 anyway...

I think we should get one of those European players who are tall that rebound well, and can shoot the 3. Like Ilyasova. In the top 5 I believe in getting offensive rebs and he kills us all the time, and shoots extremely well (this year anyway).

The Mavs last year (besides having their best player be a European shooting 3's) showed what's it like to have veteran players who are productive. Hey, they weren't the best defensively, but they had Chandler who was young to help them out, and then there was Barea. Mixture of PRODUCTIVE players, both old and young. We have either just defense, or streaky basically... or too damn old and not productive. We have a knack for going after old guys who aren't productive, but because they have rings or in the league for 15 years, it makes them an asset. Rofl.

Oh and Fisher is signing with OKC apparently.

He will get more playing time there, and it's in the West. Kind of sweet revenge for him in the playoffs.

If Fisher does indeed go to the Thunder I'm going to throw a party.

He's a Lakers trojan horse just like Odom. We nearly got infected. Oklahoma City, you're screwed now. Might as well pack things up and go back to Seattle.

Hurray!

yes his 5 rings would surely help us rebounding.

this team and their love for vets annoys me.

if it's a rebounding vet then okay. But a WASHED UP POINT GUARD AGAIN???

just glad this is over with.

GET TURIAF OR EVEN HOLLINS!!!

 Honestly, he's terrible. 32% from the 3pt line so you can't even call him a specialist and is a liability on defense at this stage of his career.

Basketball Gods have interferred and saved the Heat from destruction by not allowing the Heat again, get a vet scrub.

Basketball Gods have been punishing the Heat for collusion for some time now. I think they are on the Heat's side since Lebron has forsaken the dark side.

Let us pray to Lord God Naismith, Prophet Wilt, Prophet Maravich and Mikan and give thanks.

Amen.
