What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
Kevin Garnett, when asked if the dunk by #Hawks guard Jeff Teague fired up the team. "I don't know who you talking about. That guy's a nobody." Sulia/hoopshype.com

Re: What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
It's mean...but true. it's still up to Jeff Teague to make a name for himself in this league.
The worst part about KG's statement, it would be true of pretty much every player on our roster.

Still doesn't change the fact of KG being a douchebag as usual, the guy makes my stomach turn at sight of him.

Re: What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
It's KG being KG. The guy is arrogant even at his old age. Heaven forbid he actually compliments the young player on taking a blocked shot coast to coast, outrunning KG's old self, and dunking on Allen.
KG is such a hypocrite. He does the exact same thing every single year.

Re: What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
We have 2 more games against Boston this year. While I doubt gaining KGs respect is possible or even worth having as a goal, I hope that Teague makes it a mission to make him regret his flippant comments by handing the Celtics a couple loses with strong consistent play (last night was too up and down for Teague, too much passivity after getting a couple shots blocked).
Going to donkey punch a leprechaun!

That scream/staredown was just as classless.
Wasn't that spectacular a dunk.

When and where in a game matter, sonny. Exuberance in the middle of an important time in the game is "classless" to you? Trying to jumpstart your team is "classless" to you?
Or do you just want to protect a has-been who is now nothing but a journeyman, needing to criticize others so he can pretend to still be special? What Garnett did was petty and jealous.
You won your championship with the 3 Amigos, now let them fade away with dignity.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Players have every right to scream after a nice dunk.
Staring directly at the person you just dunked on and screaming is classless.
but this is just my opinion.
EDIT: I'm not even a celts fan, lol

You could literally piece together a 2 hour film of KG slamming and screaming at someone on the court.
He said another player looked like a Cancer patient to make fun of his medical condition. And you want to talk about whats "classless"?

When did I say KG wasn't classless?
I probably dislike KG as much as you guys.

Re: What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
Teague is far from a nobody. He made a name for himself in the playoffs. He must understand that he has to continue to prove himself though. This could be good for him but I doubt it, just remember we have lost games by 30-50 points and it did not motivate us. So, someone saying something like this probably will not do anything.

For a 6'2" guy to take the block, go by Rondo, go by KG, and then throw it down with that much authority over Allen is pretty impressive. No it isn't a VC or even a Smith type of dunk, but still spectacular considering all that was given.
I don't consider it a true stare down. The Kid just made a very good play, screamed and maybe looked in the direction or Ray. He could have easily back peddled and continued the stare down but he didn't. It was at most 2 seconds of looking at Ray.
KG is just trying to stir up trouble as he always does. I can see this getting testy like ti was in the playoffs. Zaza won't put up with trash talking his teammates.

Re: What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
The guy's won a championship and is probably one of the best all around players we've seen in the last 15 years, so he's got all the right to say that. Like evildallas said it's up to J. Teague to take the challenge and pride in getting better. Garnett is probably one of the most hated players around the league, but any fan must admitt they would love to have him on their team. I just love his demeanor on the court, the game comes to him so easily.
GO HAWKS.

Re: What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
Teague getting a lot of national pub for bad Teague vs good Teague. The dunk vs the airball. All over PTI and ATH on ESPN. As for KG I don't see why its needed to point out his past accomplishments. The last 3 big KG stories have been him downing Teague and Villenuava and possibly getting traded like any of the older big 3. Nothing about what he is currently doing on the court because he is obviously a shell of himself. We know he is a HOF'er but he is not currently doing anything on the court worth speaking so now he is just simply a fake tough guy as Charles Oakley rightfully called it. The way Teague is currently being treated is reminding me of Josh. Josh had a good game that game he tried to go between his legs in the playoffs. It was all about bad Josh vs good Josh.

When you are in your prime saying that is something. When you are past your prime like KG is, it is something entirely different. He comes off as being a hypocrite who is bitter that he is on the downside of his career.

@ugadawgs KG has every right to say that. Regardless of how washed up KG is we didn't even win the damn game.
He's past his prime but still says this of Horford.

Kevin Garnett wrote:"Overall Horford's just really solid to me. He knows what he's in the game for and never tries to do too much. Al always brings a level of consistency in everything he does. Just a tough dude. But his best asset is his comprehension of the game and his smarts. He's a team-first guy who knows how to play the game the right way. He's the kind of guy who's never going to get a lot of pub, but he's always going to be there. He'll be an All-Star for the next 10 years; I'm sure of it."

Re: What KG thinks about Jeff Teague
KG is on a team with 3 HOF'ers, he should have won more than 1 title. I don't feel the need to talk about all the good he has done. The same goes for he and Teague, if Teague wants to dunk and yell in your face then he opens himself to scrutiny. If KG wants to down others he opens himself to scrutiny. 3 HOF'ers and 1 title and a lot of big talk. By the way, I will be mad if Teague doesn't keep yelling in peoples face. Let them talk, it is good to know what people think of you.

He actually just complimented Demarcus Cousins busted his a$$ the other night. He didn't talk to Patrick OBryant the entire year cause he was soft & acted like more then he was. He doesn't do the same thing every year? He's an old school player who doesn't feel the need for some mediocre point guard to violate a hall of famer, regardless of the dunk (which is pretty sick). It didn't matter though cause it got him mad & he went off.
The scream is fine.. everyone does it, just don't act like you're gonna attack him like a gorilla by screaming & flexing and looking at him like he's prime ribs. Dunk yell get the crowd hyped & go back play defense.

& how dare youuuuu. A JOURNEY MAN?! Dude had to be told by the gm that he's not in the plans for the future, & still didn't wanna leave a bad franchise which he gave everything too. 2 teams in 16 years?! He's been killing this year, not what he once was but still better then JEFF TEAGUE. Come on KG we all know isn't the cleanest player in the league, but he respects it & he's old school & gave everything he had to the NBA. People should respect him more, because he's unlike anyone else.
Everyone screams after the dunk & get the attention. He's the one barking while playing defense & pressing people full court jawing at them like in the 90's. Not this new age sh*t.
