No frills. No girls. Let's see if Wizop's theorem of girl to win ratio holds true.

Game after game I wait for Granger's shooting to turn around, or even just improve. He has some better games here and there, but on the whole he just keeps shooting horribly. The shots he takes aren't horrendous, he just misses them.

I know shooting is down across the league, but DG is taking it to another level. 39% on FGs, 33% on 3s, and tonight looks no different.

On the plus side Hansborough is going at Griffin, which is cool.

The Brazilian Blur looks like what this team has needed. Quick defense and scoring in a pinch.

So, Barbosa is going pretty well so far.

I feel like Hibbert should be banned from taking jump shots. I think he's like 2/100 on the season(completely made up statistic) and we never get the rebound off his miss.

With Hill and Barbosa making opposing defenders stay honest, Hansbrough's production is going to be much better than when he was getting tripled up inside.

You'll like Barbosa. He's the perfect spark plug.

Sorry to take this slightly off topic but I have a quick fantasy-related question to ask Pacer fans. In my league I'm first and it's a pretty solid cash league. Our trade deadline has passed and I recently lost Steph Curry (likely out for the year) and Derek Rose (They're in no hurry to get him back now that they locked a playoff spot). Our league has a lot of teams, 14 roster spots and some RealGMers who know ball so our waiver wire at the moment is massively picked over. All that said, George Hill was recently dropped and I'm thinking about using my waiver priority on him. There's almost no other PGs left (guys like Udrih, Vasquez, Bayless, and even the Bulls backups are all rostered) and with Curry and Rose out I can't really afford to drop in assists/ass:to/steals. It looks like Hill is getting the upperhand on Collison and has 5 assists through the quarter tonight. Do you guys think he will steal the starting position and become fantasy relevant? I'm first in waiver priority and was hoping somebody would drop somebody better by now but they haven't and I can't really wait it out forever.

Is this 5 assists through the quarter a fluke or is it conceivable that he could take and keep the starting PG spot and average 6-8 assists per game? Thanks in advance! Sorry to derail!

An unfortunate side effect of gaining muscle. He'll find a happy medium. I'm still optimistic the asthmatic center can get to 15-10-2 next season. I see Brad Miller as the kind of production he can get (better inside and on defense, worse from outside, though).

I think he could take the starting job from Collison but the 5 assists is probably a fluke. I hope he can keep it up but he's a scorer. If he becomes a starter, all of his numbers should increase. I would expect 5 to be about his average per game though.

Thanks. I watch a lot of teams outside of Canada but I don't have a good read on Hill's game. A lot of those SA backup guards (Green this year) remind me of one another.

Yeah, I remember the offense running through him and burying a lot of deep jumpers when Jim O'brien was the coach. I never liked that because he should be under the basket rebounding but at least he made some. I think the last game was one of the only ones I saw him make all season. He needs to collect boards and work his hook shot. Kind of seems like he's gone away from the hook shot too to be honest. Might just be imagining that though since I tend to shut off games midway through after we're down 20-30 points.

Glad we held them to under 50 after allowing 31 in the first quarter. Getting used to giving up 30 a quarter lately

It's amazing how much better we're going to be with Barbosa taking Price/Stephenson's minutes and cutting into Dahntay Jones.

Minutes

17 Barbosa
10 Jones
0 Price
0 Stephenson

93-74 with 7 min remaining

^ Yep, he's a beast.

The other good thing about trading for Barbosa is that we'll have a chance to re-sign him in the offseason. He should command less money than someone like OJ Mayo but is just as good.

OJ Mayo is in his second season in a row of poor shooting. Barbosa gets his points more efficiently. I'll take Barbosa's offense over Mayo's defense with this current squad. I like that Hill does both.

no, he won't steal the starting spot. what's happened is AJ Price has dropped from 2nd pg to 3rd and Hill has become 2nd pg instead of 2nd sg with Barbosa taking the 2nd sg spot. odds of Hill starting games is still small but the odds of him staying on the floor at the end of games has gone up. tonight our 2nd unit put three guys in double figures and scored 50 points. I used to play salary cap fantasy ball and our second unit guys would be great choices to fill out a roster in that format because they'd give you a lot of points per dollar, but I'm not sure any Pacer other than Granger would be a good pickup in a draft league.
