Manning is one of the most competitive players around, if you guys really think he only sees a 1st round exit and so forth as success you guys gotta be kidding me.
and what is wrong with this denver team? they have a D that always keeps them in games, has a line that is one of the best and a running game that worked last year. WR's maybe questionable but manning will find a way.
I see SF as clearly the much better team for him to play for if his top priority was to win the most amount of games and have the greatest chance of a SB. He picked Denver instead because other factors were a huge part of what he considered when deciding where he wanted to be. John Elway probably told him he wouldn't think of pushing him out for a younger QB whereas the brass in charge of SF probably wouldn't extend the same sort of verbal guarantee. They would have had to trade Kaepernick or that draft pick would have gone to waste if Manning stays healthy, that's not good for SF or Manning, and SF probably didn't or couldn't make a move fast enough to salvage that asset and Manning didn't want to have think for the next 5 years if Harbaugh would eventually scrap Manning and turn it over to the kid for whatever reason. How weird would it be if a legendary QB like Elway pulled out the rug from underneath another legendary QB? More weird than if Harbaugh did it.
