There is no excuse for Sessions, Kobe, Ron, and Matt not finishing alongside Pau. There isn't anyone who could post Ron up and Houston had the floor spread so Josh was no help chasing shooters.
Plus you can switch everything on the perimeter without castrating your defense. Brown had Murphy and McRoberts on the floor, two guys that can't move on rotations.

not gonna stressed out about this game. session is freaking awesome!

we had the game in the bag but the lakers relaxed in the last 3/5 min of the game. houston did a good job by taking advantage of this, they gambled, started shooting 3 pointers, they became more aggressive etc. next thing you know they're up by 1 point....and they won game. end of story.

again, session is awesome! lets crush the mavs tomorrow!!!!!!

So tomorrow I'll be able to watch the game and we should win because of that 8-) . But for tonight's loss, you know the drill:

If Bynum keeps his head on straight we win this, big let down but he's still young and will learn.

Blake had a solid start to the game, even had a couple defensive plays go his way which was a shock. Sessions however showed once again why he needs to be starting, and by the looks of the end of the game he also showed why he needs more time with the starters to build chemistry with them(Kobe in particular).

Also loved what Hill brought in the 2 short minutes he was on the court, big body that can rebound. Can't wait till he gets more trust from Mike Brown and we see him playing next to Pau and Bynum solidifying our big man rotation with a focus on defense and rebounding. Murphy and McRob both leave a lot to be desired in that area and the end of this game showed it.

It's easy to see that Sessions is a much better player than Blake, but that doesn't mean starting him is the best option. When Sessions is in with the starters, he is highly deferential and is non-existent on offense. But with the bench and Pau or Bynum, he plays the pick and roll, attacks the basket, draws fouls, and get open looks for bigs and shooters. Maybe the players and the coaching staff will begin to move to a point guard centric offense when Sessions is in with the starters.

Sessions can do all that with the starting unit, and it will free up even more easy looks for Bynum, Pau and most importantly Kobe. Then you factor in defense, where Blake typically gets blown by much like Fisher did, and it's even more in favor of starting Sessions.

We have less than 20 games till the playoffs. If one of the goals of moving Fisher was to free up the starting spot for Sessions, we can't spend much longer waiting to make the move. It's not a good idea to have these guys get comfortable with Blake only to have to switch again whenever Brown thinks Sessions is ready.

Blake had fine chemistry with the second unit, and his role will be diminished anyways with Sessions playing more minutes than Fisher was as a starter. Our starting 5 needs to be a cohesive unit by the time the playoffs arrive, the longer we wait the worse off we'll be.

You had the two game crews for the Rockets, Bill Worrell & Calvin Murphy (the guys you heard on air) and Kevin Eschenfelder & Matt Bullard (the other guys) talking about the Bynum ejection.

Bullard raises a point about Bynum being put over the top about the "phantom call" (you know...make-up call, justice call, etc) and the two guys who never played (Bill & Kevin) state that that doesn't happen and Glyde & Bull just start laughing.

r u sure it was Murphy? he was fired many years ago...i think u meant clyde drexler.

He would say some stuff that didn't make sense and the play by play guy would just brush it off and not say anything just cuz its Clyde Drexler and he's a legend and all. I was pretty entertained but I could see how he would get annoying.
