Hm... from Rytas standpoint it's not the case here, because Doneck would have played 2 out of 3 games at home (they were 1st in the group, Rytas was 2nd).

good teams win wherever they play :)

Good game by Val, it's just these missed shots. He looked a little bit overexcited in this game, but look at his pass. Such games is hell of experience for him. He's basically the main guy in one of Eurocup's contenders. while Rytas' PGs suck big time and I acan't decide who is worse Rasič or Rice. The latter at least trying to pass in second half of the season, Rasič is a useless ball hog. Val should be great in NT where passing culture is in completely different level. Some Val's rolls are so good, but Rytas guards either can't see any court or get late. IMO, he could be better involved offensively in the second half of the game. All in all, his progression is obvious and growing every month. Now he can deal with hight intensity games and to play big minutes. I have no doubt his minutes will increase in NT as well.

Demar had a segment called "one rookie" in his first year here.

Shortened Jonas interview after the Doneck game.

Reporter: How was the game?
JV: A good game. Every game that you win is a good game.

R: How was it for you personally?
JV: I don't know. Made a couple mistakes. The ball kept on slipping from my hands - will need to put more glue on my hands next time.

R: Did the opponents play the way you thought they would?
JV: Yeah. They are a hard, physical team. Their frontcourt is strong in the paint and made it a tough game for me.

R: Do you think that such point difference is good before the game in their court.
JV: No, we havent thought about the difference. The main thing is to win. We won and we plan on winning in there too.

R: Did Dzikic praise you for the point difference after the game.
JV: I'll repeat myself - we don't give a damn about the point difference. We could have won by one point and we would be still happy. We will go there to win, not to loose.

Thats because the reporters kept on bugging about the point difference. In shortened version it doesnt look so bad but in reality there were like 4 questions about it. It would annoy me too.

Our journalists are notorious for asking (Please Use More Appropriate Word) questions. Not surprising he gets upset from time to time :)

The line drawn on the poster is at 210...I'd say 212-215.

More like 216cm to me. He does have a heel on him but that measures out to a hair under 7'1". Considering that line under his head is JV's previous height measurement when the chart was made, it's safe to say he has grown quite a bit.

Looks like we have a legit 7 fter!

He'll love our reporters. Twenty of them gather around the player, ask him easy questions, and then run to write the same story. Seriously, they are a lazy bunch. This is nothing like the US where the reporters either ask tough questions or make up the answers. Somebody actually got Carmelo Anthony of the Knicks to admit last night he didn't play defence when Mike d'Antoni was coach. Nobody here would ask a player a tough question about why his defence is so much better now that Mike Woodson is coach. (And none of our players are dumb enough to answer the question the way Anthony did.)
