Kanter plays best game!

Post#1 » by Hoops Addict » Mon Mar 19, 2012 4:47 am

Kanter had his biggest game. 17 points on 6-7 shooting, 8 rebounds.....in only 23 minutes.

He finally showed us a very good game.

The most frustrating thing I've seen on this board in regards to Kanter is when people say "he's not as good as I expected him to be".

Yeah, the 19-year-old who hasn't played a lick of basketball in years yet still leads rookies in reb. rate, shows post moves that most veterans never develop and plays defense better than 90% of the bigs we've had this decade.

But he's not averaging 20-10 in his 15 minutes of playing time each night...guess he's gonna be a huge bust.

Yeah, I've been very pleased by what I've seen out of Kanter. I'm not worried about him one bit. Dude does work. Assuming his conditioning continues to improve (it's not bad now) and he continues polishing his skills, we're going to have a very special player in a couple years.

Yeah Neon- He has not played organized ball in 2.5 years...is 19....and you have never seen him bullied or shoved around like most rookies.

265 and 6% body fat....strong.....great cordination and speed for 265.

On a crappy team....if they let him shoot as much as he wanted and played him 40 minutes he would produce well.

He just needs to get practice and coaching during the summer.

We aren't almost last in rebounding anymore. Last year we were weak....getting pushed around like a punk.

Did you see Kanter shove the Laker back and get a double technical? He is tough...doesn't take crap.....is un movable under the basket.

Nice game.

Love to see him making progress.

Still I would say I'm a bit disappointed overall by his inability to score against length inside. I think we can all agree that he's gotten stuffed way too much for anyone's comfort. If he doesn't learnt to finish over and/or around those big guys, then his ceiling will be PJ Brown.

Nice player, but not what you're hoping to get with the 3rd pick in the draft.

And how do you except him to improve his game with the 15 min hes getting in Utah ? also add that he hasnt played since 2 years which means the only real basketball experience he got was at junior Level that means he never played against taller guys so he needs to play to find out how to score against them and improve his game but the 15 min hes getting in Utah wont help

Exactly!! He's two years behind!!! He needs more than 15 minutes. In fact, even 48 minutes wouldn't be enough. That's why I'm calling on NBA Commissioner David Stern to add a fifth quarter to every game. How else is he going to learn how to play?

Kanter's growing every minute he's on the floor. To draw any comparison, or to refer Brown as his ceiling is kind of unreasonable IMHO.
