Tyreke has asked to come off bench, likes the starters as is

Grant just said the team gave him around of applause for his unselfishness. This just made me really happy, Evans has been willing to do anything for the team, and I think us as fans have been harping on him too much.

Wow very surprising and unselfish as ever. I think he's earned his role as a starter no matter what sort of injury inhibits him in previous games... but wow what a character move. Not sure how long they'll stay in this rotation but if he somehow became a Harden type player off the bench... things could get ridiculous in a good way

Tyreke has always show this type of attitude in the past. A lot of people tend to overlook that. But, if he really believes of what he says, he should come off the bench regularly like Harden and be a monster for us.

Just work hard on the jumper - it's as simple as that.

Somehow I still don't believe this will change the minds of those who wanted him traded...

Only getting a jumper to open up his game will.

I want Tyreke traded because I feel this team needs a substantial improvement at either the PG, SF, or PF positions.

The reason why Tyreke should be on the block, is because out of everyone we have, outside of DeMarcus, Tyreke has by far the most trade value. No one is going to trade anything remotely significant for Jimmer/JT/Thornton/Isaiah (everyone else we have probably has zero to negative value).

So if you want to improve the team through trading, Tyreke is one of the only options we have.

Trading for what ? God forbid we actually give a young guy that is willing to improve and show his willingness to do anything for the team (MORE THAN ONCE) some time to actually improve his game.

Guys with Tyreke's abilities don't come along in every draft. If we do trade him, he will develop into an all star and some guys will be wondering why our 4 foot pg , our foul prone center and our SG that doesn't have any handles can't take the ball to the rim in a close game where our jumpers aren't going in.

Good interview between Reke's brothers. They explained why Reke fades away with his shot every time.

Just because he MAY be the only player on the roster with significant trade value, does not mean that we SHOULD trade him just for the sake of making a trade. Exactly who did you have in mind that we should target in a potential trade that would make us a better team ON DAY ONE than if we kept Tyreke?

Rondo. Bogut (if healthy). Iguodola. Granger (potentially).

To name a few.

Rondo? Pipe dream.
Considering this team's RICH history of injuries, I think I'll pass on Bogut.
Now granted, I haven't actually watched Iguodala play since the days of the original AI. But has he gotten a consistent jump shot?
Don't watch Granger either, but I understand he's a shooter.

But I think the question is, are either of these guys a realistic trade opportunity? Would those teams trade for a guy who we've all basically labeled as a bust? A guy who also hasn't exactly been the healthiest guy in the world as of late either? I mean, if we've soured on him so quickly (hard to believe I'm actually defending the guy who was labeled as "untouchable" just a few short years ago from trade demands), why should the next team be so eager to take him on? I don't think we get any of those players in a straight up deal for just Tyreke, and since nobody else outside of Cousins is especially desirable either...

None of those players I listed are "pipe dreams." All of those players have about the same value as Tyreke, it just depends on the direction a team is going and if we get lucky.

No one is saying trade Tyreke because we need to make a trade. But instead, I believe a line-up of
Rondo/Thornton/Salmons/Thompson/Cousins or Thomas/Thornton/Iguodola/Thompson/Cousins or Thomas/Thornton/Salmons/Cousins/Bogut are better line-ups than our current rotations. Why? Because even if Rondo and Tyreke are equally talented on the basketball court, Rondo brings more to this roster because of the redundancy of Tyreke's skills and other players on our roster.

For example. Monta was offered numerous times for Tyreke. Monta was eventually traded for Bogut. Are you really saying that those three players don't have similar levels of value?

Rondo would put us back to square one. Once teams just give him some space he will clank jumpers all day. Another thing with Rondo is he thinks hes bigger than life right now and refuses to improve his jumper. The guy has a ego like hes some kind of superstar or something.

Did we fall asleep with all his dramatics the last 2 seasons with the Celtics ?

Evans on the other hand is trying to improve his game , he is willing to do ANYTHING the team asks him. I just don't get why we are trying to run this guy out of town.

All I know is, I saw this coming way back when everybody wanted Kevin Martin run out of town because he "didn't fit in" with Evans. I wondered then, how long people would remain as high on him as they had been because our fanbase is still spoiled off of our 1999-06 playoff runs and seemingly has zero patience to allow any group of players more than 2-3 years before wanting to blow everything up and start over again. Now how ironic it is that a few short years later, its EVANS who no longer "fits in" and people want HIM gone now as well. If and when we ever do trade him, I can only help but wonder how much longer before this fickle fanbase sours on Cousins and wants him gone too. Seems only logical, given our recent track record...

Rondo is a superstar imo. Maybe he's tired of being the scapegoat for that team. Who knows if Rivers says anything negative about the Big Three and chirps at Rondo instead or what is going on there. I think Rondo would definitely improve this team and its not like Reke has a jumper that makes you stay out and guard him. The thing Rondo would help is dribble penetration looking to set up his man which Reke is terrible at.

With all that said, I would prefer to keep Reke. He seems like a humble guy and fits in well with the Kings and as you said works hard at his craft. He has played a lot better coming off the bench as he can be instant offense and that role may serve him best.
