Do you guys think that the signing of Turiaf lowers our chances at getting him?? I hope thats not the case. Thoughts?

I think we went with the "bird in the hand" theory

Yeah, i understand that, but i think we would go after him anyways and cut someone, (pittman, howard or curry). The thing is, will the Turiaf signing affect his desicion of maybe coming to the Heat?

If he's bought out I'm sure that our pitch to him will remain the same. I'm thrilled about getting Turiaf, however he's not on the same level as Kaman.

But like others have said, almost no chance he gets bought out.

Yeah Kaman isn't getting bought out at this point. There's no point.

Kaman was never going to get bought out. The whole idea was pipe. The Hornets tried to trade him to get maximum value, but they were never going to actually buy him out regardless of the fact that a deal couldn't be struck. His bird rights are still of value to the Hornets in either a possibility of a re-signing, or a sign & trade.

Stern isn't going to let the league own team buy out its center knowing Miami is going to come right in and scoop him up. "Basketball Reasons"
