Q : Was Ricky a important factor for you re-sign with the Wolwes?

A : Yes, Ricky was a important factor on my decission. I always have believed we are in the correct direction. Ricky is a important part of this and he helped us a lot to win games. He will be a capital piece for our success at the future. His injury was a pain, but he will have a full recovery.

Q : It seems you have a really good relationship with him, basket and personal.

A : It's fine to be near of him, to share the locker room. He is a dude who works a lot and I can say we are similar, the kind of player who stay on the court after the practice for enhance things of performance, working a lot. Everybody has watched something of the big things that we can get playing together. We can create something special at Minensota and this depends on us.

Succesful surgery on ACL and LCL. Colateral ligaments were damaged too.

The LCL modifies the timetable of recovery?

The LCL modifies the timetable of recovery?

The recovery time of this injuries is 6-8 months. We haven't enough information about if Ricky has another kind of injury (meniscus, cartilage) and this is usual in this cases. This happen frequently and aggravates the scenario and the recovery timeline.

I was surprised to hear of the LCL reconstruction as well. I would guess (based on nothing really) that the recovery would be about the same. Both ligaments should heal at about the same rate, then it's just rehab. But I'm not a doctor, either.

Very well done. Such a shame that this is all we got to see for his rookie season. I'm STILL pissed at the injury.

Esteve Rubio, Rubios' father :

My son is a positive person and he cheers us too. The surgery was yesterday in Colorado with very good perspectives. Another ligament was a little bit damaged. The recovery will be along 6-8 months.

He will return to Minnesota April 3 or 4 because the team wants control him. The countdown starts after the surgery. He got the respect of the NBA mates. The recovery is long and hard and he knows the hardest comes now but he has done a game scenario around him (*).

I don't know what the hell means this. Maybe he has prepared something for start to practice the shoot. I don't know. Perhaps another Spaniard can translate this better than me. :dontknow:

No idea. When I read that I imagine a room with PS3, XBox, Computer, big TV... I don´t thik he was speaking in a metaphoric way... but who knows.

Yep, that is, a video game room basically.

His father also says that 3 hours after the surgery, Ricky was already doing rehab.

Return to Minnesota Timberwolves
