Hehe. And the Kidd/Kittles/K-Mart era was pretty good - in the early 2000's.

Ouch is right. I think I'd fold up my NJ tent and put up a For Sale sign if that happened.

They cleared huge cap room but whiffed on signing any top free agents.
Possibly in desperation, they traded 3rd pick Favors (who was making fine progress and could in no way be termed a bust), a 2011 1st (#3, Kanter) and a future 1st (currently projects to be an unprotected 2012 #10) for top player Williams, with no guarantee they could resign him, hoping to attract another top player (Howard).
The Blazers have claimed J.J. Hickson from waivers, according to a source.
Hickson was already in New Orleans with the Warriors, who had an agreement with Golden State dependent on clearing waivers.
Hickson was waived this week by the Kings.

There are tons of good shooting guards trapped in point guard's bodies. The hard part is finding a point guard in a shooting guard's body to balance out the roster. We've got one in Wall. We are therefore uniquely suited to utilize a player like Hudson. We should be able to find one in the D League or in the late 2nd round.
I posted before the season that I hoped we would sign Hudson this year.

I was standing in the checkout line at the grocery story yesterday. If the cover of some gossip mag--I don't even recall the title-- is to be believed, Lamar got caught with a naked woman. Not a bad thing, unless it is a woman you're not married to, as is the cover implies.
Odom was already supposedly struggling with his basketball commitment and letdown after the trade from the Lakers. Add to that he was a passenger in a traffic accident that involved a fatality. If he's dealing with some issues on the home front as well that spells bad season.
Dallas is going nowhere, regardless, since the Chandler left them in free agency. He was the second most valuable player on that team.

I can see the argument for changing the name, but going back to the Hornets doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. I don't really see a whole lot of history with the name. 4 play-off series wins and 2 50+ win seasons over 13 years is decent, but not too thrilling.
I wonder if New Orleans tries to get the Jazz nickname back(I don't really think they would, but it would be amusing).
