Game Thread 3/22: Wiz vs Indy - To Tank or Not to Tank...

Post#1 » by nate33 » Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:00 pm

Indy had lost 6 out of 8 before beating the Clippers at home Tuesday night. They've beaten the Wizards the last 3 games in a row.

Game time is 7:00

Nice use of the accurate quote.

Thank the Internets - can't claim that I knew it didn't end with "well."

Its one thing to beat a bad team but its another to win back to back games with the 2nd one against a good team. We could be tired but the good thing is that some key guys didnt play alot. Im very interested in this game because every time our players get excited then they come out and suck the next game. We dont know how to handle praise. This time seems different. We are playing more fundementally sound guys, guys with winners attitudes & games, and it just seems like a total culture change in the making without NY, McGee, and Dray.

There are great matchups all over the floor. Nene & the bash brothers along with JV against Hibbert, West, & Hansborough. Then you have Wall, JC, Mason, & Mack vs Collinson, George, Hill, and Barbosa. Granger has the advantage against Singelton but unless we cant him on a hot night, I dont fear him at all. Alot of Wiz fans have always wanted this guy but I never have. i hate his game. He's like NY. All he does is chuck & take bad shots. I think he hurts a team way more than helps. He's shooting in the 30's this year.

This is a man's game that will only be won with team play. Im loving our bigs and Wall always has huge games coming back. I think he'll lead us tonight and we find a way to get it done. It will be a true test though. Are we a new team or the same ole Wiz? The same group probably gets blown out or atleast falls behind very quickly. We always come back to reality. Will it be different tonight? You will know early but it should be fun and I think we're up for the challange

Go figure. I thought we were referencing Y: The Last Man. ;)

"Didn't you used to be Danny Granger?"

Seriously, though. What happened to that guy? Is it injuries? Apathy? He's had a really bad year so far.
