Never understood it either. And it doesn't even have to be the flavor doing the hand checking, it could be anyone on their team. For example Bowen. I never saw him as a good defender, it isn't hard to have a two hand grab on a guy the whole game, and appear to be a lockdown defender. F*ck any Joe off the street can do that.

But when this hand checking, manhandling thing happens, we don't throw a ton of hard screens to stop or at least make a guy think twice about trying this kind of defense. If the refs aren't going to give Nash respect, let's go the other way with it. We need a guy off the bench, who rarely plays to send messages to guys that try that crap on Nash. Like a Dave Semenko for Gretzsky. Someone that was just out there to send a message to anyone who tried to rough up Wayne. We need a good goon! :D

Yes they are a very good defensive team, when they want to be. However, I have seen Lebron wack both wrists of JRich going for a 360 dunk, and everyone, including the refs thought it was good defense. But when you look at the slowmo, it was no ball, but all arms. That bulldozing by Lebron on Hill, was only mentioned on ESPN as a hard hit that Lebron took. Not a hard hit that Hill took, and it wasn't even called a foul on Lebron.

You know how JRich could've avoided that.................................................
