Is the culture of your team changing!

Post#1 » by Pacerlive » Thu Mar 22, 2012 4:04 pm

I am a 3 days late on this post but I wanted to know if the fans of the Clippers noticed a change in the style of play from your team.

I wouldn't necessarily call it dirty but some of the stuff that happen Tuesday was pretty cheap IMO and I don't recall seeing the clippers team like that before.

For instance you have Blake doing a leg whip which could be accidental but it seems like a pretty wierd way to brace yourself for a fall.

And when Tyler tries to get up you have Martin violating Tylers butt hole which pissed him off (50sec). Then Butler does a imaginary filming of Tyler which is pretty much instigating a fight.

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball- ... 44533.html

In the same game Chris Paul shoves Lou in the neck on a missed shot and Blake does a similar thing to Tyler and gets called for a foul.

Don't get me wrong the Pacers play with a chip on their shoulders too but I don't remember the Clippers being this way.

change of style? playing dirty? you must have meant to make an apology for your pacers as hansboro was grabbing and shoving griffin down all night. and yes, tyler is a butthole which others should piss on.

one more thing, your pacers have always been dirty, since the days of chuck person, reggie miller and rik smits
ehhhhh f it.

The Clippers/Pacers game was a physical game. Teams are always physical with the Clippers, especially Blake Griffin. To get in his head and to try to slow down his game. We also added Reggie Evans and Keyon Martin who are physical guys. I the other teams is pushing the Clippers we are going to push back. I didn't see anything really cheap or dirty from either team. Just neither team backing down to what was happening.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I didn't see the whole game, so I can't comment, but I think Blake sometimes gets unfairly criticized for being dirty because he is just a rough player who can sometimes get out of control. The "culture" of a team in terms of what you are referring to is just dependent on what players, coaches, etc the team has.

The only teams where one can say that about is a team like the Spurs or the Jazz while Sloan was there, where they have had a long standing coach and style of play. The Clippers haven't had any long standing culture that one could say has "changed", though I guess Mike Dunleavy was around for a while.

How often does Blake get criticized for being dirty. The only time this year I have seen him do something blatantly dirty was the Luke Ridnour horse collar tackle. Outside of that I think Blake gets called more for flopping than anything else and thats why people take exception to his game.

I here you on the culture argument. Maybe its establishing a style of play that wasn't there in the past and don't get me wrong I am not pointing fingers here overall I just noticed it in this game and wondered if it was more common with the Clippers now that they have Evans and Martin.

LOL! you went with those 3 to make your point... The Dutchman the Rifleman and Reggie?

Let me help you out.. Try Dale Davis and Antonio Davis and yes the Pacers have had dirty players in the past but they haven't had ball snatchers or guys who like to put fingers up another mans crack.

Yeah, you don't see our players saying they will fight other players off the court like fake tough guy Danny Granger.

It was a physical game, get over it.

As far as the Ridnour "clothesline", it wasn't intentional. If it was intentional you would of seen Ridnour's little butt unconscious on the hardwood.

Indiana has awesome fans, just ask Reggie Miller how awesome it was when one burnt his house down.

Stop telling lies. Reggie Millers house was burned down by his ex-wife and the only reason why it burned down was because the water pressure sucked in that area. I have friends who actually worked that fire AND the investigation.

The Pacers got rid of their bad apples and I am just curious why Flop City took on some questionable guys and if its affecting the Clippers team.

So your mediocre team gets a couple of regular season wins, and you decide to run your mouth?

Danny Granger is that you?

Straight from the horses mouth.

You honestly think reggie is going to say his wife did it? Like I said I know the people who fought the fire and they all think his wife who hated him for cheating did it. She also hated indiana and wanted out of town and out of their marriage.

And I would argue that danny granger is a pretty tough guy. He has played through more injuuries than most guys and he doesn't flop like blake does.

I know Tyler Hansbrough personally and he told me he liked when Kenyon Martin touched him, it was very erotic for him.

If you mean classic like I worked for Fisher Fire Dept which covers Geist homes (station 92's) where Reggie lived than ya I am just trolling. I can give you the names of the guys but that wouldn't matter.

Reggie would be an idiot if he blamed his wife. One it would put her in jail for a very long time and second he couldn't collect insurance money on the house. Its sort of naive to think otherwise.

In either case it was a simple question and I understand you guys are pissed at your coach and team performance right now and all I wanted to know is if you saw something different when it came to your team.
