I've never been high on Brad Beal until yesterday night... I'm still on the JLamb's bandwagon though

BTW, nbadraft.net's current mock has us getting both Kabongo and Quincy Miller in the 2nd round. Colangelo, do it and I'll even watch the Summer League!

I'd also want Jae Crowder but you can't always get what you want...

If Quinncy Miller declares, I guarantee that he will be a big steal for a 2nd round pick.

Q-Miller won't drop to the 2nd Round.

Seriously doubt Washington would permit Ford to go public with their draft board. Especially this early. So it's probably bs.

Had a great game, though. Carried the whole team on his back.

I don't know that they told him outright, but think of it, a Wall/Beal backcourt would be formidable. Nene up front (until he starts deteriorating...)

I think they would draft a SF first, and have Crawford playing out.
I am not surprised they take Barnes, since they lack shooters, and drafting Beal is very redundant to Crawford at 6'4/6'5 (both are slightly undersize).

I'm starting to creep on the Tony Mitchell bandwagon if he drops to the second round. Tony Mitchell - SF/PF, Beal (or Barnes) - SG/SF and Tomas Satoranksy - PG/SG and call it a day.

Who's with me on the Tony Mitchell bandwagon!?!

He can't play PG. But he's an excellent SG prospect. So who cares if he can play PG?

Has it already been noted that DX has moved Beal up to 5?

Why can't he, adequate athleticism but has size for the position. Shown that he can distribute and plays like a vet at such a young age. I am not saying he has to play the pg to fit this team and I know he's an excellent sg prospect, but I think he has the capability to be a pg. I believe he will be a better floor general than westbrook.

Why do you want him to play PG, though? Do you honestly believe he'd be a better PG than SG?

He is the type of player that I want the ball in the hands of as much as possible. As for being a better sg or pg that I am not sure but I believe he's capable of playing the 1 and would impact the game more playing the 1 based on his skill set.

When I said months ago that Beal was the most solid top-5 pick in this draft was I wrong? Nope :P I wish I had Jim Kelly's job.

You're correct. He would impact the game while playing PG, but negatively. He is a SG first and foremost. Sure he can dribble and distribute nicely but that is somewhat expected from a SG. Anthony Davis was a guard in highschool until he grew like 8 inches all of a sudden. Youre not going to throw him at the point because of it.

Beal is as much of a point guard as Wade is imo. They can play it here and there, but would rather have a legit PG in charge.

Beal's game (although possibly a better rebonder) is like Eric Gordon and EG does/should not play PG. Just because he can create doesn't mean he should be played at the point. If anything its a sad indication of how weak the SG position is becoming in the NBA.

His handles can be used like Gordon's (again) or Roy's to get an open shot or possibly draw in defenders so he can hit an open teammates but not run an offence that's an entirely different mindset and skillset that his game is not suited to especially when his style is PERFECT as a SG....makes no sense to comtemplate otherwise.

What does the davis situation have to do with beals situation? And how would he impact the game negatively at the point.

All I asked was for someone to convince me that he can't. Why can beal only play it here and there?
