U have to be kiddin me..Corbin keeping Big Al in for Favors almost cost us the game. The final make by Big Al doesnt make up for Corbins substiution mistake. Corbin is one of the worst game managers I have ever seen, He does a good job preparing the team just doesnt manage game situations as he never coached nor played on the court during those end of game situations.
Really? Corbin never played at the end of games? I'm not defending him, but I don't think that statement is true.....
Jefferson was THE reason why we won...... And he wasn't the reason that we lost the lead......

And the fact that its Paul Millsap allegedly throwing him around like a rag doll. I had to rewind this at least 10 times when it happened.

I think Millsap actually stuck his leg out and tripped him, so instead of barreling into the cameras to save the loose ball, he ran into the stanchion instead. Cousins may be a lot of things, but I don't think he's a Blake Griffin-type flopper.

I agree that Favors should have been in on the second-to-last possession where Thornton drove and scored, but it's hard to complain too much about Al's game last night -- even for me.
Al twice pulled off a really nice variation on his push-shot that I haven't seen a lot: he gives an up-fake, takes a dribble across paint and hits a wide-open push-shot. THAT is an effective way to use the pump fake.

He should have been in over Millsap. Paul had one of the worst games of the season. I think that the media was way to quick to anoint him as our go-to clutch performer after last game.

One game its "Favors should have been in for Jefferson." The next game its "Favors should have been in for Millsap." Can we get a clear answer on what you guys want to have happen here?!
If you're trying to win games, it still has to be Millsap and Jefferson...Corbin is doing the right thing.

It's situational. Paul was having a terrible game, and he kept turning the ball over in the fourth. But Favors was arguably our best player out there and he needed to be on the floor in crunch time. It's not simply a matter of having a set rotation at the end of games. That's how you lose (and how the Jazz have lost so many close games this year). Why do you think guys like Popovich and Thibodeau are the best coaches in the game right now? They aren't afraid to go with lineups that are working rather than just playing the starters. Corbin is either being stupid or afraid. I can't tell which.

- The reason the Jazz lost close games was that no player was able to make a shot when needed.
- The reason they've won some of them lately was that some players have demonstrated to be able to make a shot when needed
- Millsap had a ruogh stretch for a while, but now his shots are falling when needed, and that's darn good.
- 2 other players have to receive huge credit too: Tinsley and Burks. Both of them have been doing a thing rarely seen in a Jazz uni since a huge amount of time: to use a screen to take a step and make a darn middle range jumpshot.
Add to these things an improved old school man-to-man defense and dudes helping less but more effectively, and you just don't have to analyze much more.

I have to disagree because taking the situational route has its limitations...one of which is - Your best players play at the end of games. (Do you think Thibodeau would stick with D-Rose's backup out there...even if he brought them back from a huge deficit?) I know Millsap and Al aren't at the same level as Rose, but they ARE our best players Yes we have good talent behind them...but I say the gap is still too big to switch it off at the end of a tight game.
To me...Favors with the ball in the post at the end of a game is not a good situation...Al, or Paul...okay. On D it would be nice to work Favors in ONLY in place of Al, not Paul in tight games...so I will give you that
