Batum is a much better Diaw that's actually motivated to play. Think about how great Diaw is when he's motivated. Multiply that a bit and you have Batum.

Let's not get carried away. Batum is nice, but he is hardly Lebron or Carmelo. You multiply a motivated Diaw, and you have Magic.

Only in the sick mind of a blogger who should lose any credibility if normally taken seriously.

Although if I was a Portland fan it might seem at first blush to be true.

I like Batum a lot. While hed never become a superstar, he is a more likely catch in free agency than anyone with "star" caliber credentials. Our stars must come from the draft, where they have no choice on their team destination (initially). Batum could be a key contributor here at the 3.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
