Just watched my favorite team quit tonight and it turned my stomach.

Glad to see you guys are fine with that.

Goodnight.

Didnt watch the game but looking at the box score says it all. 17 assists 6 weanie pts!!! Thats who the problem is, assists will come in bunches if players make jump shots those are unimpressive assits if you ask me.

Rondo's not the main problem of course but games like these the 26 yr old should be balls out attacking the rim all game long! He should 4get Doc, the plays & the Big 3 and deliver what the other elite pg's are doing and that is attacking & finishing at the rim. gettinmg to the line atleast 10x a game which he hsa the abilty to do.

Anyhows thats my rant for tonite.

P.s. trade Rondo on draft night.

Very disappointing.

After MP & AB went down, they massacred us.

Truth was absolutely awesome: 7-11 & 3-3 from 3, NINE Rs, 3As. Should have had 20 shots tonight, but double teamed all night.
KG was excellent.
Rondo with 40000As, but no scoring & terrible D again - unacceptable.

We were thin to begin with & lost 2 more rotation players.
SamIam 2010: Truth's ability to play so incredibly efficiently is so UNDERAPPRECIATED. Bballcool 2012: Amazing how great Pierce has been for so long. Continues to defy age! KG 2013: P is original Celtic. Wherever he goes, we go. This is The Truth's house.

Nobody wants your opinion of the game after looking at a boxscore for christ sake

Our frontline was shooting lights out all game and Rondo fed them the ball. If Rondo stopped people would have lost their minds like some did.

For all those who are saying that our team QUIT....read this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Closed_head_injury

They were probably too shaken to play a usual game after what happened to MP.

This attitude makes no sense to me. They're a good team and they played well. Give them credit and don't be pissy if they're given credit.

EFFFF them and Doug Collins for picking Hollins to shoot those free throws--after one of our players almost died on the court...CLASSLESS....so SCREW them---!

A-men to maxwell's first comment. I hate watching games where the announcers have an obvious bias toward the other team. Yes, Philly played a great game of basketball. But consider the context of our two loses to them this season: the first came after two previous games against the knicks and rockets [both going to OT], tonight's is after a 8 game roadtrip. I think we all knew what was coming to us…

Lets all just hope pietrus is okay. At this rate we cant afford anymore injuries.

If you call out Rondo for his defense you should probably do the same for PP.

What turns my stomach is that MP may have a serious injury not that the Celtics lost this game. You have you own agenda with this team and it seems to me whenever they lose it is because they are not trying. This team is held together with spit and duct tape right now yet you are too blind to see that.

I'm not even saying this because we just lost, but we'd rather Miami or Chicago in the first round. The second round will involve a back to back...a major gamechanger that would surely be a loss against Miami or Chicago and could possibly fall on one of our home games.

There's no way that we gave up...we had freakin' Daniels as our 2 guard to open the second half. That guy is washed up, even if I like him a lot as a person. Also, remind me who Philly played last night?

You think?

A lot of posters act as if this is year 2 of the Big 3 era. We have been on borrowed time.

Went in to town tonight with the GF to watch the game at the local tavern, and this team first half and this team the second half were completely different. When Pietrus went down with that injury the whole drive of this team just changed. Everything fell apart, no one was focusing.

Overall this team the past 2 seasons has had AWFUL **** LUCK! I honestly can't believe how bad this teams luck has gone for 2-3 years now as far as injuries are concerned.

Completely deflated the whole team. I just hope it doesn't continue throughout the rest of the season, because Pietrus was a huge chemistry piece this season and his loss could be damaging.

There is my psychologist report on the subject. Tough loss to swallow again considering how close this team keeps getting to that division lead. Sad times.

Wikipedia gives lay people a trivial overview.

I am afraid MP has bled somewhere in his brain - an intracerebral bleed, a serious cerebral contusion, a subdural or epidural hematoma. His alleged vomiting & convulsion fit.

He has been by now scanned up the wazoo.

I would not be surprised if he has had pressure-relieving, decompressive neurosurgery.

Few things.

1. don't read too much into tonight's game.

2. the Celtics are paper thin right now. Too many injuries and heart issues to compete every night.

3. I honestly don't think the Celtics care where they finish as long as they're in the playoff picture and healthy.

4. Regarding being a 7 or 8 seed. Might as well beat the best first. Just makes the road easier the rest of the way. and if they lose in rd 1 then we have a full offseason to prepare for next year/resign players and sign free agents.

I think it was Dickerson that said that. Apparently he was coughing up blood or something. This is an incredibly serious injury...this is way more serious than the Marquis one last year, and my god that was such an scary injury.

Mike Breen said he threw up twice on the court....I'm hoping MP lives through this....I was just starting to love him---hoping he would sign an extension...Now I just want him to be okay.
