And what happens when we give those guys who are currently playing better than him a full TC with Summer League and offseason?

Probably the the same thing if Kemba was playing on a decent team.

Maybe, just maybe he is one of the reasons we are bad?

@ brotherdave - why would you say klay is at his ceiling? he is only 3 months older than kemba. but maybe it was harsh for me to say i would "definitely" take him over kemba. but i would consider it. klay is 6'7" and has a tremendous range on his shot. he is averaging 15ppg this month. at the very least he will be a sniper off the bench for the next decade. he definitely needs to add more to his game. his rebounding is pathetic for a player his size. that must improve if he wants to eventually be a starter.
I think a sniper off the bench is what he'll be at the very most (or a starter on a bad team). He's just too slow to make any real improvement in his weak areas. I haven't watched him much but I haven't seen any cerebral passing instincts or anything like that like Curry has to make up for the lack of athleticism. He's one of those guys I foresee having a severe sophomore slump.

klay thompson with 28 (10 of 13) midway through the 3rd quarter. his jumper is a thing of beauty.

and while he boards like a OKC cast off, he has a real knack for passing the rock too.

fatlever wrote:the klay thompson comments weren't meant to really degrade kemba. it was purely to point out why i would probably draft klay ahead of kemba if the draft were redone today. conveniently for me, klay had a monster game the day after i brought it up. (of course he also missed his last 7 shots after i posted last night, figures).
he is averaging 20ppg over his last 8 games, basically since becoming a starter after the ellis trade.
but yeah, what slam said, if klay was a bobcat and kemba was a warrior i would bet my house you would be in the general board talking about how klay was the next ray allen and how kemba is just a chucker. its hard to take you seriously when your biases are so blatant.
i dont like either one of our point guards so its not like i am trying to make kemba look bad in order to make augustin look good.
