the past 2 weeks of NBA related news to me? I don't remember where I left off, except the Suns were on something like a 5 game losing streak. I look now, they are .500 and fighting for a playoff spot. Dwight decided to not opt out of his contract, Mike DA got fired (or what happened?), Portland trades Camby and Wallace away. What's going on? Can someone give me some insight on what's happening, going into some detail besides what transactions have occurred.
Where does all this leave the Suns for the future?

Damn. Have you been living under a rock? Haha
Well the Suns have been putting together some decent results recently. Had a 4 game win streak which was snapped as they choked in Miami. Then a blowout loss to the Magic (in Orlando) and the sky was falling for most fans again. But hopefully the Indiana win puts us back on track. Guys like Lopez and Telfair have looked a little better. Gortat had a little struggle in those two losses, but that looks like an aberration.
A bunch of us were clamoring for a pickup when Terrence Williams and JJ Hickson were waived. There was interest in Hickson from the Suns FO. Some other team got TWill on a 10 day contract, while the Blazers snapped up Hickson off waivers. Diaw was waived but it looks like he's going to the Spurs (if he hasn't already).
-Pringles Man got fired from the Knicks because apparently he lost the team. Mike Woodson is his replacement right now.
-Dwight opted into his next year, after flipflopping a few times before on that.
-G.Wallace trade speculation: help the Nets try to keep Deron, gives Portland more space to keep Batum
-Goran Dragic has been playing incredibly well.
Where does this leave us? Absolutely nowhere different. Still fighting for a bottom playoff seed. Though if the FO wanted to get Batum over the offseason, it got a lot tougher. That's about it I think.

Oh and the Nets are probably the dumbest franchise of the decade (beating out the Suns FO and others) as they have now traded Favors, Kanter, ANOTHER likely top 5 pick to RENT Deron Williams for 2 and a half seasons as he is likely to depart Brooklym for Dallas this summer since Dwight's staying in Orlando for one more year.
