Not sure where SamBone is, but I'm sure he's busy so I started a write up thread. Due by the 26th unless he changes it.

Re: GMAT: March Madness Edition: Discussion Thread
FYI
March 25- final rosters/writeup needs to be done (if you don’t post a final roster/writup you will not be ranked)
starting at noon EST on March 26 till midnight EST on March 27 rankings need to be sent in (if you don’t send in a complete ranking, you will not be ranked )
RANKINGS WILL ALL BE EMAILED TO ME, THEN I WILL POST AFTER ALL ARE IN. This prevents people from voting others bad since they voted you bad.[/quote]
Here is how the rankings will go
OVERALL BEST JOB - rank the top 10 teams from 1-10 (1 being the best overall job the GM did). You judge the current team vs real life, consider fit, salary for the market, and anything else you can think of. This GM will be named the "winner" of this round, and be given choice of team next game (if one will exist)
team you rank 1 will get 10 points, 2 will get 9 and so on. You will be given an 11 for completly sending in rankings for all 3 categories)
FUTURE - rank the top 5 teams from 1-5 (1 being the best) for how the team is built for down the road. Current prospects and picks owned, plus upcoming cap situation matter here.
TEAMS FOR A TITLE- this is a new fun twist for all the teams that tryed building winners, everyone that sends in a ranking will be asked to list the top 8 playoff teams from the EAST and the WEST. The average ranking will be the seed and the teams will be matched up head to head. You can post your rotation and a brief point or 2 then people will vote on a winner and that team will advance just like the NBA playoffs. This is simply to see how teams match up against others.
March 29 – winners announced and head to head playoffs will start

Just to be clear, should you include your team when voting for any and all categories or intentionally skip it?

skip yourself, you will be given a top score for sending in COMPLETE ranking.
NOTE: you can include your team in the playoff seeding if you believe you are a playoff team

I thought so about the top job, but then wasn't sure about the playoffs and the future top 5 rankings. So, for the future 5 skip also?

Re: GMAT: March Madness Edition: Discussion Thread
So when you say complete ranking does that means we vote 1-30, or 1-10 best job and 1-5 best team for the future?

COMPLETE rankings mean all 3 categories

You judge the current team vs real life, consider fit, salary for the market, and anything else you can think of. This GM will be named the "winner" of this round, and be given choice of team next game (if one will exist)

2. FUTURE - rank the top 5 teams from 1-5 (1 being the best) for how the team is built for down the road. Current prospects and picks owned, plus upcoming cap situation matter here.
3. TEAMS FOR A TITLE- this is a new fun twist for all the teams that tryed building winners, everyone that sends in a ranking will be asked to list the top 8 playoff teams from the EAST and the WEST. The average ranking will be the seed and the teams will be matched up head to head.
