Last year we won a couple in a row without Deron...

Brooks isn't an ''all-star.''

As for Deron, that's true but ryou have to remember that he wasn't exactly all that great in the limited games he played for us last season. The wolves are suppose to be a mediocre team. You would think that a 'top ten player', as he's been called by many, would have been missed. Yet they won. Just sayin'.

Pekovic is FINALLY being used by Minny. I thought he was pretty good in the few games of his that I saw last season. Glad he's FINALLY overtaken the starting Center position. He should continue thriving there.

It would be amazing to get him but he would cost a bomb and I highly doubt he is available. Would be interesting if we got something like the 2nd overall pick and 15th overall pick in this years draft to see who we would go after.

2nd overall, 15th overall & Brooks for Love?

Brooks to fill their SG void and 2nd overall to take Robinson with 15th pick to take BPA?

They would never trade him.

Still nice to dream

If Minny did decide to trade him, it's taking the 1st overall pick and filler.

He's a legit top 15 player, he's a guy who would get Deron to stay and he's insanely marketable.

Well we know they arent looking to trade him so it would have to be a slam dunk offer really.

I wouldnt give up Davis for Love and doubt a 2nd pick with 15 & Brooks gets Love either.

You wouldn't give up the #1 pick for K-Love?

I know PEB is good but there's no guarantee that the dude will be THAT great. Especially considering the situation we're in, I'd give up that pick for Love in a second.

I duno man seriously, its obviously a risk but i honestly think Davis could be that good. If the t'wolves came and said, 'Billy we'll give you Love for Davis, deal?' I still would have trouble doing a deal. I just want to keep a stud and especially someone that has such an unreal upside.

I doubt Love would be traded for just the 1st overall pick anyway so no real argument.

Yup.

If that pick could land Love, even if it took filler of say Brooks, Jordan Williams, a future pick, even Bogs, I'm doing it because you know what Love is and he'll keep Deron here.

Deron + Love + either Lopez or what you can S&T him for > Davis and 2013 lotto pick shipped to Portland + overpaying some meh free agents like O.J. Mayo big time.

So say Anthony Davis, Brooks, Houston pick for Love, you guys would do it?

Then move Lopez for a player?

I still dont think Timberwolves would be interested

I don't know if they would be interested either, but if you offered that it presents a very compelling argument to Kahn and Minny ownership.

They already know they're on borrowed time with Love and the #1 overall pick plus solid fillers, salary relief and that pick being PEB specifically is a compelling offer and hard to beat around the league at any time, whether now or in the future.

And again, I'm not saying they would move him, I'm just saying they would certainly think about it for an offer like that.

I truly am not sure if they would. I lean heavily towards no, but it has absolute legitimacy in theory.

I completely understand you guys viewpoint. Obviously D Will & Love would be fantastic going into Brooklyn but with the added fact of being able to possibly move Lopez & filler for possibly the like of Gordon would be insane in every way shape or form.

I'll be delighted if we get a top 3 pick but im just getting nervous more so with what King would do with it, he might blow it on just a decent player rather than a star or potential star. Ill lost total faith in King to be honest.

Ok im going to bite, tell me how we get Love and Gordon, I know Garnett would be a free agent signing so shoot

Also I feel like I need to tell you that if that was our line up in Brooklyn I would have such a ragging hard on for the season that it would take the enamel off my teeth

Was just saying if we could get Love for the #1 pick, Brooks, Houston pick, filler, then S&T Brook for EG, then sign Garnett to full MLE.

I'm not sure how it would work, but if the trade for Love was a draft night one it might give us full MLE.

Normally it would, but because you might have to do the trade on agreement on draft night and then officially do it in July, I'm not sure how that would work.

Cause with a Love trade, you'd need to get Farmar to opt in to use his salary to officially trade for him on draft night, if Farmar won't opt in, you have to agree to the trade in principle and then officially execute it in July using mainly cap space to absorb his contract.

If that's the case, I don't know that we get full MMLE, we might only get MMLE, have to run the numbers with cap holds pre-Love trade to figure it out.

Obviously these are the same what if scenarios we have been discussing where we need everything to go our way and then convince Minnesota on a Love deal and convince Brook and Eric and then the Hornets, but even if it's far fetched, it's not impossible.

It be a dream scenario really.
