He looks like he 100% plays below the rim now. He isnt the same dude I remember driving to the basket with massive dunks.

He seems to just be all about layups now and trying to play smart. He's only 29 he shouldnt be losing his hops already should he?

Here's food for thought...

With a real lineup built properly to Deron's strengths including a star big, this is what Deron would look like every night and this is the kind of nights we would have versus good playoff teams.

Brooks sucks, id deal him in any potential star trade in the summer.

I surely hope not.

Supposedly because of the wrist and hand injury he sustained earlier this season he almost refuses to dunk, some have said he even hinted to that until next season.

But, he just looks like he's lost that explosion and lift in general even aside from not dunking.

One good thing is he really looks like he's worked on the midrange bank shot and he can still rebound very well for his position and still looks to be a mainly elite defender, but if this is a decline he just will never be the player he once was on offense with his athleticism fading early.

Depending on what draft boards look like close to the draft, I'd combine him with the Rockets pick to move into the top 10 if possible and needed.

I thought that was the general thought here, that with a proper team with Dwight if he came, then Deron would be the 2nd option/3rd depending on the 2nd option is.

He is the perfect glue guy that wouldve been perfect around a possible Williams/Howard or Williams/Star type lineup. Does all the simple things very well and will defend well every night but we need more than that from his right now because he is our 2nd option really and it doesnt suite him. I actually really like him as a player, aw well onto the Houston Dallas game.

Wouldnt it be interesting if Houston made the 8th seed and dallas missed the playoffs as well. Wonder if that would have any effect what so ever on Williams in the summer

I think Lamb could drop to the late lotto because of how bad UConn were & Beal suddenly being touted as better than Gordon, which i 100% disagree with. I'd move up for Lamb

Yeah for Lamb absolutely.

For Terrence Ross if his stock climbed that high, or Waiters or even Beal himself as well.

It seems like there will be a run on the guards from around 7 or 8th pick and we could probably make a serious move up with the Houston pick and Brooks.

Maybe a team like the Suns or Portland would be interested in bringing in someone who would start for them and a pick for the 10th-12th pick or something where some very good players could be had. You could walk away with Davis and Lamb possibly if we timed a trade right on draft night.

But sure we already know there is noone outside the top 3 picks who can help us so Brooks isnt being moved anyway as much as I want him to be.

Regarding 1st/2nd options on offense, I don't think the 1st option is necessarily the leading scorer, it's the guy who controls the offense and is given the ball the majority of possessions, and makes the decisions with the basketball. IMO, that's generally perimeter players, unless you're an exception like Shaq, or to a lesser extent, Duncan. By that definition, even with Dwight, I think Deron should and would be the 1st option. There's very few people I would make him 2nd option to. Dwight's not one of them.

Dwight would lead the team in scoring though, no doubt.

I've been suffering from insomnia for the past 3 or 4 days... I turned this game on and immediately fell asleep. Nets Basketball FTW!
